Abstract: A method of tuning a production module using a reference module with virtual gain correction is provided. The method includes selecting a counterpart reference module created for a select application. The production module is commutatively coupled to the selected counterpart reference module to generate a production module pair. A production module gain curve for the production module pair is measured for each frequency band to be used by the production module. The production module is tuned based at least in part on offset gain values at select number of frequency observation points for each frequency band associated with the counterpart reference module and gain values at the select number of frequency observation points of the measured production module gain curve for each frequency band.

Abstract: An unloading system for use in a storage structure having a sidewall that contains granular stored material. A reclaiming portion is spaced from the sidewall and has a floor portion that extends from a discharge opening toward the sidewall. The floor portion of the reclaiming portion is supported above the floor of the storage structure. The reclaiming portion may move with respect to the sidewall and is isolated from movement with respect to the sidewall of the storage structure. Seals between the reclaiming portion and the sidewall prevent the stored material from bypassing the reclaiming portion so that any discharge of the stored material occurs through the discharge opening.

Abstract: The invention relates generally to a system used to produce a prototype part and subsequently an accurate design specification for a fluid or gas handling system/hose and or tube assembly, followed by the subsequent communication of that specification into an ordering interface that processes the specification into a usable format as a means to accurately produce and re-create the original specification in a remote location by a specific manufacturing process, in order to supply the originator of the design an accurate, working part, produced in the specified materials in a rapid, convenient and cost effective manner. The process has global applications in various industries, markets and vehicle or machinery types, particularly where it is inconvenient or prohibitively expensive to have the work performed on-site by a technician.

Abstract: A method for inhibiting whisker growth on a metallic substrate susceptible to whisker growth (e.g., tin, zinc, cadmium, indium, silver, lead, aluminum, gold, aluminum, gold, and alloys thereof), the method comprising coating a surface of the metallic substrate with a charge dissipative (CD) polymer, or more particularly, an electrostatically dissipative (ESD) polymer, that inhibits whisker growth on said surface under conditions where whisker growth would otherwise occur. In some embodiments, the CD or ESD polymer does not possess the necessary strength and/or thickness to function as a physical barrier for whisker growth. In particular embodiments, the CD or ESD polymer prevents the onset of whisker formation or growth, thus not requiring the CD or ESD polymer to function as a physical barrier.

  • Publication number: 20200249369
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for positron emission imaging to calibrate energy measurements of a pixilated gamma-ray detector using energy sharing events between channels of the detector. Due to conservation of energy, when the energy of a single gamma ray shared among multiple channels, the sum of measured energies across the respective channel must equal the original energy of the incident gamma ray. Further, the fractions of the original energy distributed to the respective channels can span the entire range of zero to the original energy. Thus, a single gamma-ray source (e.g., cesium isotope 137) can be used to continuously calibrate the nonlinear energy response of the detector over an entire range of interest.
