Abstract: Systems and methods of managing online streaming content are contemplated in this application. A new data structure is discussed. The new data structure is useful for the organization and delivery of streaming content—especially live content. Systems and methods make it possible for a broadcast manager to determine when advertisements can be played during a live broadcast (e.g., during a time out in a basketball game). Episode containers (the new data structure) include different segments, including both video-segments and advertisement-segments, where segments can be used to broadcast video from different sources. This can be particularly useful for broadcasting of content online where advertisement videos can be hosted elsewhere from where the broadcast content is hosted, allowing users to seamlessly watch a program with advertisements without experiencing interruption when they are transitioned to an advertisement from the broadcast.
Abstract: The invention concerns an acquisition aid antenna device (3), intended to be secured to a main antenna device, the acquisition aid antenna device (3) comprising: —a multiband acquisition aid antenna feed (7), suitable for receiving radiation emitted by a target, and—a lens (9) arranged in the main reception lobe of the acquisition aid antenna feed (7) for concentrating the radiation received from the target towards the acquisition aid antenna feed (7). This device makes it possible to detect targets that are outside the useful beam of the main antenna device, and to use an acquisition aid antenna feed identical to the feed of the main antenna device.

Abstract: Building materials are generated by the simple mixing of cellulose nanofiber (CNF) slurry with typical wood-derived material such as wood meal, optionally with mineral particulate materials, and dried. Particle boards are made with wood meal particulates; wallboards are made with wood particulates and mineral particulates; paints are made with pigment particulates; and cement is made with aggregate particulates. The particle board samples were tested for fracture toughness. The fracture toughness was found to be from 20% higher up to ten times higher than the typical value for similar board, depending on the formulation. For cases of 20% by weight cellulose nanofibers and 80% wood, the fracture toughness was more than double that of typical particle board. The process sequesters carbon and oxygen into the building product for its lifespan—typically decades—and avoid releasing CO2 into the atmosphere.

Abstract: An advertisement scheduler receives a commercial break schedule generated from a completed assignment of one or more spots that correspond to the deals comprising advertiser's orders to place the spots into one or more commercial breaks in the commercial break schedule based on constraints and placement requirements. The advertisement scheduler may determine representative liability per pending spot for the deals and reshuffle the placement of the spots based on the representative liability of the deals in order to minimize liability associated with the deals. The advertisement scheduler may reshuffle the placement of the spots for maximum delivery of candidate deals, where the reshuffle is based on a forecast of expected viewership associated with the deals, and a pacing computation of cumulative demographics guaranteed at a particular point in time, modify the forecast based on weighting factor, and generate a finalized commercial break schedule based on the reshuffling.

The at least one node device is operable to calculate a power distribution by frequency of the RF environment in real time or near real time, including a first derivative and a second derivative of fast Fourier transform (FFT) data of the RF environment. The at least one node device is operable to identify at least one signal based on the first derivative and the second derivative of FFT data.

Abstract: An electromagnetic shield component that includes a tube that is electrically conductive and into which an electrical wire is to be inserted, wherein the tube includes a first half tube that has a shape of a half tube, a second half tube that has a shape of a half tube, and welds where both ends of the first half tube in a circumferential direction and both ends of the second half tube in the circumferential direction are welded to each other, an inner circumferential surface of the first half tube is provided with extensions that extend inward from the inner circumferential surface of the first half tube, in a radial direction of the tube, toward the second half tube, and portions of the extensions that face the welds in the radial direction are provided such that gaps are formed between the portions and the welds.
Abstract: A system can have an x-ray source that generates a series of individual x-ray pulses for multi-energy imaging. A first x-ray pulse can have a first energy level and a subsequent second x-ray pulse in the series can have a second energy level different from the first energy level. An x-ray imager can receive the x-rays from the x-ray source and can detect the received x-rays for image generation. A generator interface box (GIB) controls the x-ray source to provide the series of individual x-ray pulses and synchronizes detection by the x-ray imager with generation of the individual x-ray pulses. The GIB can control x-ray pulse generation and synchronization to optimize image generation while minimizing unnecessary x-ray irradiation.

Abstract: The present invention provides a composition for strengthening glass. The composition may incorporate one or more of a surfactant, a silane, and an adhesive resin. The composition may further incorporate one or more of a water-based solvent, a defoamer, a glycerol, and an alcohol. A strengthened glass laminate may be formed of a glass base and a coating made up of the glass strengthening composition. The strengthened glass laminate may further comprise a film. The coating may adhere the film to the glass. A method for making a strengthened glass laminate may include providing a glass base and spraying the glass strengthening composition on the glass base. The present composition has the combined advantages of both optical clarity, high adhesion to glass, and dimensional stability.
Abstract: A system and method for determining a composite bounded probability distribution of values of a first parameter at one or more values of a second parameter. A bounded probability distribution of values of a common first parameter is defined for each of one or more values of a common second parameter. A composite bounded probability distribution is determined for the portfolio at a selected value of the second parameter by performing a frequency domain convolution using the bounded probability distribution of each object at the selected value of the second parameter.

Abstract: Modular floor tiles include a first surface configured to receive weight. The first surface is supported by primary walls interior to and extending the full height of the tiles, and which may be intersecting to form a grid. Secondary walls of a lesser height support the primary walls, may be non-linear such as circular, and may support either side of vertices of intersecting primary walls. Joining members and corresponding receivers in the sides of tiles are dimensioned to engage one another from adjacent tiles to join the tiles and restrict lateral movement. Fastener(s) in each tile are associated with slots and may be selectively moved between unlocked and locked positions to restrict vertical movement. Some embodiments include cable channels with corresponding cover plates, and inclined portions providing ramps. Any number and combination of tiles may be connected to one another to form a modular flooring system.
Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes a signal processing unit, an indicator calculating unit, a storage unit and a controller. The signal processing unit generates, based on a reflection wave signal of an ultrasonic wave that is transmitted into a subject, strain information about a strain of a tissue that is pressured and released in the subject in chronological order. The indicator calculating unit calculates an indicator of a state of pressure and release to the tissue at generation of the strain information. The storage unit stores a time phase at generation of the strain information and the indicator at generation of the strain information in an associated manner. The controller extracts a candidate time phase being a time phase of a candidate based on the indicator associated with each of the time phase.
