Publication number: 20170030528Abstract: A system and method for detecting multiple incidents in a set of flow meter units attached to a set of water consuming units. A plurality of uniquely identified flow meter units are operatively connected to a central control unit. The control unit is programmable to send alerts based on leaking incident status of particular flow meter units so that a responder may receive the alert and timely address the alert. The central control receives and stores data from the multiple flow meter units, including volumetric flow, time, and status and location of each alert. A method of detecting leaking in a building having multiple separate units, each unit having a unit water supply, includes placing a specially configured controller having a flow meter and automatic shut-off valve in each unit of the building. Leak sensors are positioned in water-leak risk areas wherein the controller communicates with both the flow meter and the sensors. A communication is established in between the controller and the sensors.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2016Publication date: February 2, 2017Applicant: ENCO ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS, LLCInventors: Gary H. Publication number: 20170033725Abstract: To provide controller and control method for an electric motor including plural energization systems composed of an inverter and coils corresponding to plural phases. According to the present invention, if any abnormality is detected in one energization system being energized through first diagnosis processing, second diagnosis processing is executed on the energization system having the abnormality detected, which is switched to an unenergized state. Then, if the second diagnosis processing reveals occurrence of a short-circuit, a control gain of a normal energization system is lowered. In addition, a threshold used in the first diagnosis processing on the normal energization system is changed so as to make it difficult to detect an abnormality, hereby keeping the energization control on the normal energization system. Hence, if a short-circuit occurs in at least one of the energization systems, it is possible to avoid stopping the output from the normal energization system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 16, 2015Publication date: February 2, 2017Applicant: HITACHI AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS, LTD.Inventors: Tomonobu KOSEKI, Tomishige YATSUGI

Patent number: 9558209Abstract: A system for automatically correcting a mistaken geocoded location input. A wireless device such as a cell phone ranks possible location input based on edit distance, which is a ‘confidence factor’. If there is no perfect match, then a list of geocode options is returned, preferably sorted by the score. The ‘closeness’ is derived by looking at the edit distance to go from the input to the matched address. Edit distance is defined herein as the number of insertion/deletion/replacement operations to go from input location to the possible matched location. In one embodiment, an option list, or ‘pick list’, may be provided based on an edit distance scoring system. The edit distance scoring system is preferably based on a number of keystrokes difference between the input location name and the possible matched location name.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2013Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: Telecommunications Systems, Inc.Inventors: Rajat Ahuja, Ritesh Bansal
