  • Patent number: 7797288
Abstract: A server instance, which is a collection of LUNs, containing an operating system, any applications and data storage. A processing element is the physical hardware. The combination is a server as normally understood. Templates are used to define server instances and server types to simplify deploying a server instance to a processing element. A graphical user interface provides the templates where the particular storage groups are identified and then server instances are created from lists of operating systems, applications, and available storage. The management service processor is a PXE server and provides the necessary software to identify the components of the processing element and correlate between the processing element and a server instance. The management service processor then automatically provides software to the processing element to allow it correctly boot. The management service processor manages the interconnection of the processing element and the relevant LUNs.

  • Patent number: 7794407
Abstract: The invention includes a method of locating a tip of a central venous catheter (“CVC”) having a distal and proximal pair of electrodes disposed within the superior vena cava, right atrium, and/or right ventricle. The method includes obtaining a distal and proximal electrical signal from the distal and proximal pair and using those signals to generate a distal and proximal P wave, respectively. A deflection value is determined for each of the P waves. A ratio of the deflection values is then used to determine a location of the tip of the CVC. Optionally, the CVC may include a reference pair of electrodes disposed within the superior vena cava from which a reference deflection value may be obtained. A ratio of one of the other deflection values to the reference deflection value may be used to determine the location of the tip of the CVC.

  • Patent number: 7796736
Abstract: An X-ray-generator irradiates X-rays at a subject. The X-ray-detector detects the X-rays that have permeated the subject. The rotating body on which the X-ray-generator and the X-ray-detector are installed rotates around the subject. The rotating body is rotated by the drive part. The power source supplies electrical power to the drive part. The step-down part lowers the voltage of the regenerative electrical power generated at the drive part during the deceleration of the rotating body. The accumulation part charges the lowered electrical power. The step-up part raises the voltage of the electrical power from the accumulation part and supplies electrical power to the drive part.

  • Patent number: 7796168
Abstract: Methods and systems for mitigating undesirable video flash in infrared camera systems are disclosed. A frame of video can be stored in a buffer and information related to the frame of video can be processed prior to displaying the video such that the processed information facilitates display of the video substantially without flashing. A display of a non-flashed frame can be frozen while a flash event would otherwise cause a flashed frame to be displayed. The shift in a histogram caused by a flash event or some portion thereof can be subtracted from pixels of an image. Thus, image quality can be substantially enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7797255
Abstract: A system and method for tracking, monitoring, and supporting self-representation of an individual for the purchase of a home. As a self-representing principal (SRP), the individual would be entitled to the real estate commission payable to licensed real estate agents. To aid the SRP in his self-representation activities, the system provides information to the SRP of property listings that match the SRP's search criteria. The system also provides comparable sales information of other homes in the area, school district reports, environmental hazard reports, and automated offer drafting assistance. If the SRP wants to view a property, the system coordinates such viewing by contacting chaperones to provide the showing of the property. The SRP's self-representation activities are tracked by the system for inclusion in the SRP's loan file. The report certifies that the SRP has indeed represented and procured himself, and thus, is entitled to the real estate commission.
