Publication number: 20230191450Abstract: Methods of coating a substrate are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a coating composition is applied to the substrate with a high transfer efficiency applicator to produce a coating layer, where the high transfer efficiency applicator and the substrate remain spatially separate while the coating composition is applied. A droplet of the coating composition expelled from the high transfer efficiency applicator has a particle size of about 10 microns or greater. The coating composition has a viscosity of from about 1,000 to about 1,000,000 centipoise when the coating composition is subject to a shear rate of about 0.1 reciprocal seconds (s?1). However, the coating composition is non-Newtonian such that a coating composition viscosity decreases when the shear rate is increased to the coating composition. The coating layer is impinged with a gas such that a coating layer surface moves upon impingement with the gas.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2022Publication date: June 22, 2023Applicant: AXALTA COATING SYSTEMS IP CO., LLCInventors: Shih-wa Wang, Cameron Stevens, James Neal, Carmen Flosbach, Michael S. Publication number: 20230195117Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and a control unit to control a marine vessel comprising two or more drive units. The method involving the steps of registering an operating command indicating a requested vessel direction and plotting a course represented by a reference line for the requested vessel direction from an initial position. It is then monitored if the vessel has deviated from the reference line and if a deviation from the reference line is detected, then a value for current vessel speed is detected. The detected vessel speed value is compared to a predetermined reference speed value to determine if the current vessel speed value is within a high speed interval or a low speed interval relative to the reference speed value. Depending on the determined speed interval the vessel is controlled according a low speed control strategy; or a high speed control strategy in order to move the vessel from a current vessel heading to the reference line and the requested vessel direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2020Publication date: June 22, 2023Applicant: CPAC SYSTEMS ABInventors: Simon BJÖRKMAN, David WALL, Lennart DAHLSTRÖM, Oskar WALDEMARSSON

Publication number: 20230190861Abstract: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory disease encompassing chronic bronchitis, emphysema and remodeling of small airways that can be treated by the caveolin-1 peptide CSP7 (SEQ ID NO:1). Chronic tobacco smoke exposure (TSE)-induced lung injury includes increased alveolar and airway inflammation, type II alveolar epithelial cells (A2Cs) senescence and apoptosis, and mucus hypersecretion by AECs. Interleukin 17A-mediated induction of plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) expression through caveolin-1 led to TSE-induced lung injury, which was abrogated by CSP7 treatment which abolished A2Cs senescence and apoptosis, and AECs mucus hypersecretion in TSE wild type (WT) mice. Ex vivo CSP7 treatment of lung tissue of COPD patients decreased A2C apoptosis and AEC mucus hypersecretion. Lung injury induced by PAI-1 expression in COPD lung tissue and WT mice (20 weeks TSE), with A2Cs senescence and apoptosis, and AEC mucus hypersecretion was abolished by CSP7.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2023Publication date: June 22, 2023Applicant: BOARD OF REGENTS, THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SYSTEMInventor: Sreerama SHETTY
