  • Patent number: 11683411
Abstract: A call handler is configured to originate calls using records stored in a contact list by using various campaign call data comprising a set of calling party numbers or “ANIs” that are to be used when originating calls. Each ANI is associated with a status, which reflects whether a terminating voice service provider has blocked a prior call using that ANI. The call handler is configured to recognize when a call is blocked by examining SIP protocol-based error codes and/or intercept announcements provided by the carrier when the call is blocked. Upon detecting the call is blocked, the call handler will update the status of that ANI and select another ANI value from the campaign call data to use for subsequent call originations of that campaign. A set of ANIs that a carrier has blocked may be stored to facilitate subsequent redress with that carrier.

  • Patent number: 11681587
Abstract: Illustrative storage manager and media agent are enhanced to interoperate with deduplication appliances. Advantages are realized when making secondary and tertiary copies and also when restoring from a deduplication appliance. Tiered indexing minimizes how much data is retained and stored at media agents. Tiered indexing enables media agents to efficiently extract needed information from deduplication appliances to make tertiary copies and to restore backed up copies. Interoperability techniques include media agents generating separate data streams to the deduplication appliance. Each data stream carries a different kind of data, e.g., payload data, metadata content, or high-level index information. On initial backup, the media agent instructs the deduplication appliance to deduplicate the payload data stream but not the other data streams, thus intelligently applying resources to data most likely to benefit from deduplication.

  • Patent number: 11679278
Abstract: A photon source emits a flattening filter-free photon beam. A control circuit operably couples to a multi-layer multi-leaf collimator that is disposed between the photon source and a treatment area of a patient. The control circuit automatically arranges operation of some, but not all, of the layers of the multi-layer multi-leaf collimator to serve as a virtual flattening filter with respect to the flattening filter-free photon beam emitted by the photon source. By one approach, another of the layers of the multi-layer multi-leaf collimator serves to form a treatment aperture corresponding to a shape of the treatment area of the patient. By one approach the control circuit comprises an integral part of a treatment platform (as versus a dedicated treatment planning platform) and can carry out most or even essentially all of the planning steps that lead to administration of the treatment to a patient.

  • Patent number: 11681645
Abstract: A reconfigurable data processor includes a plurality of configurable units, and a configuration controller. The configuration controller is configured to start execution of a first application graph in a first set of configurable units. Then, concurrently with the execution of the first application graph in the first set of configurable units, the configuration controllers receive a command to load a configuration file into a second set of configurable units and obtain the configuration file. The configuration file contains information to configure the second set of configurable units to execute a second application graph. The configuration file is then loaded into the second set of configurable units and execution of the second application graph is started in the second set of configurable units.

  • Patent number: 11681018
Abstract: A high-speed laser distance measuring device is described that includes an emitting part and a receiving part. The emitting part can include a polarizer (2) arranged between a light emitting tube (1) and a reflective mirror (3); the receiving part can further include a polarizing beamsplitter (7) arranged between the optical filter (6) and the receiving tube set. • Patent number: 11681614
Abstract: This disclosure provides for improvements in managing multi-drive, multi-die or multi-plane NAND flash memory. In one embodiment, the host directly assigns physical addresses and performs logical-to-physical address translation in a manner that reduces or eliminates the need for a memory controller to handle these functions, and initiates functions such as wear leveling in a manner that avoids competition with host data accesses. A memory controller optionally educates the host on array composition, capabilities and addressing restrictions. Host software can therefore interleave write and read requests across dies in a manner unencumbered by memory controller address translation. For multi-plane designs, the host writes related data in a manner consistent with multi-plane device addressing limitations. The host is therefore able to “plan ahead” in a manner supporting host issuance of true multi-plane read commands.

  • Patent number: 11683644
Abstract: A helmet including an active noise cancellation (ANC) system which includes a first reference microphone for measuring sound pressure at a first location on a first side of the helmet, the first location between a defined spatial region and a first source of sound and a second reference microphone for measuring sound pressure at a second location, different to the first location, on the first side. The second location is between the defined spatial region and a second source of sound. A loud speaker is provided in or adjacent to the defined spatial region. A control unit determines, based on output signals from the first and second microphones, a drive signal for driving the loudspeaker to generate a sound signal that at least partially attenuates, in the defined spatial region and in the first frequency range, the sound signals from the first and second noise sources.
