Abstract: In one representative embodiment, a method of perfusing organs in a patient's body is provided. The method comprises isolating the visceral arteries and the visceral veins from blood circulating through the patient's heart and perfusing the visceral arteries, the visceral veins, and the abdominal organs with a perfusion fluid that is fluidly separated from the blood circulating through the patient's heart. While the visceral arteries and the visceral veins are isolated, and the visceral arteries, the visceral veins, and the abdominal organs are being perfused, the patient's blood is allowed to continue to circulate through the heart.

Abstract: This gas analysis device comprises: a laser light source which irradiates a gas to be measured with laser light; a laser control means which controls the laser light source so that the wavelength of the laser light is changed in each prescribed wavelength band; a light detection means which photoelectrically converts the laser light that have passed through the gas to be measured and outputs an electrical signal; and an interpretation means which analyzes, on the basis of the electrical signal, an absorption wavelength of the gas to be measured. In the gas analysis device, the laser control means controls the laser light source so that the intensity of the laser light changes into a shape (for example, a rectangular shape or a trapezoidal shape) having at least a substantially constant flat part in a prescribed time period, and the wavelength of the laser light changes in the time period.

Abstract: A method of assembling and deploying a floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) platform includes floating a buoyant floater and a hollow outer tank in a floating assembly, placing permanent ballast material in the outer tank to define a mass, and sinking the mass to a seabed. The buoyant floater is moved to a position over the mass. Transit lines are attached between a lifting device in the buoyant floater and the mass to define a FOWT platform. The mass is lifted to a point directly under the buoyant floater and the FOWT platform is towed to an installation site. Mooring lines are attached between anchors in the seabed and the buoyant floater, and the mass is lowered to a depth wherein suspension lines attached thereto are taught, the mass with the suspension lines defining a suspended mass. The transit lines are then stored or removed from the mass.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a medical data processing apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires imaging data acquired by executing spoiled gradient echo imaging and coherent gradient echo imaging by using multiple flip angles. The processing circuitry generates a low-rank approximate image set, which is a set of low-rank approximated images from the imaging data. The processing circuitry reconstructs one or more parameter maps using the above low-rank approximate image set and a related to water exchange in a biological tissue, the multi-pool model including plural free waters and bound water that performs magnetization exchange with those free waters.
