  • Patent number: 10960409
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the recovery of hydrophobic particles from a slurry comprised of water, the hydrophobic particles, and a hydrophilic component. Slurry is exposed to a gas stream to permit bubbles to adhere to the hydrophobic particles. The slurry generally flows vertically through a vessel at a velocity that maintains gas hold-up at least between 30 and 70% to maintain a bubbly flow without a slurry froth interface so that a portion of the water of the slurry, together with entrained gas bubbles attached to hydrophobic particles, flows out of the vessel with a portion of the water of the slurry and the hydrophilic component remaining in the vessel. Water from the slurry and gas bubbles attached to hydrophobic particles flowing through the vessel is discharged and collected for processing. A portion of the hydrophilic component is extracted as tailings for disposal or subsequent processing.

  • Patent number: 10926321
Abstract: An apparatus for continuous casting of molten material includes an elongate tube of electrically conductive material having an inner and an outer wall defining a molding cavity therein, the inner and outer walls having a first end having an inlet for receiving the molten material and a second end having an outlet for removing a solidifying billet formed from the molten material; an electrical coil with inner and outer surfaces, the electrical coil arranged to surround the outer wall of the elongate tube; and an annular channel defined by the outer wall of the elongate tube and the inner surface of the electrical coil. When pulsating current passes through the electrical coil, a counter current is induced in the elongate mold causing a repelling force between the electrical coil and the elongate mold, thereby causing inward radial flexure of the elongate mold.

  • Patent number: 10910848
Abstract: The invention provides power management circuitry for a console. The power management circuitry includes a charging component which includes an integrated circuit for managing the output current separately for charging the battery and for running the console. The integrated circuit comprises a first pin and a second pin to output current which provides voltage (VBAT_SUPPLY) for charging the battery. A third pin and a fourth pin of the integrated circuit is used to output current which provides voltage (VBAT) for running the console. These pins are connected to form a parallel circuit, wherein the integrated circuit cuts off the output current of the first pin and the second pin when VBAT_SUPPLY voltage reaches 4.18V indicating that the battery is fully charged, thereby eliminating charging current and reducing the leakage current. Further, a charging circuit of the console enables bypassing the battery based on instructions received from a power management unit.
