  • Patent number: 11630536
Abstract: Optical touch sensors may be adversely affected by noise, such as modulated sunlight incident on the touch sensor. An analog optical detector is provided that includes a frequency dependent emitter feedback circuitry that does not substantially reduce the gain for a first modulation frequency range of the photodiode current and provides, for a second modulation frequency range of the photodiode current, a current feedback to reduce the gain of the first transistor. The second modulation frequency may include one or more expected noise modulation frequencies. A touch sensor device including a plurality of such optical detectors is also provided. Also provided is a touch sensor device comprising sampling disable circuitry operable to disable sampling of the output from the optical detectors for a duration of time.

  • Publication number: 20230013603
Abstract: Disclosed is a bracket connectible to a wire lattice. The bracket includes an upper connection counterpart defining a hook for hanging the bracket from the lattice. The bracket includes a lower connection counterpart defining a lower rotation-opposing configuration for disposition relative to a lower wire of the lattice. The spacing between the counterparts is adjustable between a rotation resistant-spacing and a rotation-permissive spacing. While the bracket is hanging from the lattice and the spacing is the rotation-resistant spacing, the lower rotation-opposing configuration is disposed relative to the lower wire, such that the lower rotation-opposing configuration opposes rotation of the bracket towards the lattice and also away from the lattice.

  • Publication number: 20220378096
Abstract: Buildup of the combustion products of e-liquid residues can be mitigated through the use of an agitation system that applies a vibration to the e-liquid storage pod. This vibration induces agitation, which may be further supported by low levels of heating, to help fresh e-liquid to dissolve precipitate left over from vaporization. Dissolution of these precipitates prevents their buildup. This buildup can result in the generation of a residue that can interfere with the capillary action of the wick. Any residue is subjected to repeated heating which may result in the generation of combustion products.

  • Publication number: 20220347731
Abstract: A hollow preform impact extruded from a metal billet to produce a progressing wall at a transition wall thickness. An axially forward portion of the progressing wall is ironed by extrusion past an extrusion point to form a sidewall portion of a lesser thickness. Extruding is stopped while some of the billet remains to form the closed bottom end. The preform has a bottom portion, a sidewall portion and a transition wall portion extending between the bottom portion and the sidewall portion. The transition wall portion is thicker than the sidewall portion and can be formed into at least part of the rim of an expansion shaped container. An impact extrusion punch has a central axis, an axially forward, impact surface for impacting metal to be extruded, a transition region for directing material displaced by the impact surface and a rear extrusion point for ironing material extruded past the transition region.
