  • Patent number: 10507411
Abstract: A device to extract a near continuous stream of sample water from a high solids content source for the purpose of delivery to a liquid analyzer or sensor for test or measurement. The device includes a source of compressed air and a source of chemical cleaning agent that are used in a coordinated effort to purge and clean the sampling system to ensure the water stream is maintained over long periods of time without significant human intervention. The device includes a valve to allow compressed air to intermittently be sent backwards through the sampling line to purge to drain an inline strainer of solids that have built up since the previous air purge. Downstream of the air valve another valve is used to introduce cleaning chemical into the sampling system to clean residual buildup downstream of the inline strainer. A debubbler unit is placed between the air valve and the cleaning chemical valve to remove air from the sampling system after it was introduced during the air purge event.

Abstract: A system and method for delivering specialized business solutions is provided that includes six phases. The first phase is the business analysis phase during which an Internet consultant (IC) and/or host establishes rapport with a prospective client and creates an Internet business strategy. The second phase is the functional design phase during which the IC gathers the client's information to create a network website. The third phase is the building phase of the website during which coding and database integration for the website are produced in accordance with the functional design phase. The fourth phase is the testing phase during which the functional requirements of the website are tested. The fifth phase is the launching phase which places the website live on a server and registers the website. The sixth phase is the managing phase during which the IC and client meet at regular intervals to review website issues.

  • Patent number: 10161100
Abstract: A manhole cover assembly has an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder. An upper ratchet mechanism extends axially and circumferentially about an outwardly facing surface of the inner cylinder. A lower ratchet mechanism extends axially and circumferentially about an inwardly facing surface of the outer. The lower ratchet mechanism is configured to mesh with the upper ratchet mechanism at one of a plurality of distinct ratcheting positions. A cover plate is disposed on one of the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. The cover plate is at a first elevation when the lower ratchet mechanism meshes with the upper ratchet mechanism at a first distinct ratcheting position. The cover plate is at a second elevation when the lower ratchet mechanism meshes with the upper ratchet mechanism at a second distinct ratcheting position. The first elevation is different from the second elevation.

  • Patent number: 9730457
Abstract: A apparatus may be used to cut a dough product having a hole from a dough sheet. The stamping apparatus may have multiple cutting blades, depending from a platen, that are configured for cutting complementary open shapes, in phases, that together form a closed shape defining the dough product periphery. The stamping apparatus may also have a tubular cutting blade depending from the platen, configured to cut a closed shape defining the dough product hole, that is nested within one of the blades that is configured to cut an open shape. The tubular cutting blade may be retractable about a finger contained therewithin that remains in a fixed position in relation to the tubular cutting blade as the blade retracts. Air trapped within the tubular cutting blade, between the finger and a cutout dough piece that does not form part of the dough product, may become compressed during blade retraction. The compression may facilitate ejection of the cutout dough piece from the tubular cutting blade.

  • Patent number: 9480903
Abstract: A sharpening machine generally includes a grinding wheel having a perimeter that is rotatable about a first axis. The sharpening machine includes an adjustment device adapted to be coupled to a structure of the sharpening machine. A shaft, mounted to the adjustment device, defines a second axis that is generally parallel to the first axis when the adjustment device is coupled to the structure and is movable along a predetermined feed axis toward the grinding wheel. A carousel is rotatably connected to the shaft of the adjustment device. A contouring tool having a counter surface is rotatably connected to the carousel. Movement of the shaft of the adjustment device along the feed axis is configured to translate the carousel and move the contouring tool into and out of engagement with the grinding wheel to facilitate dressing of the perimeter of the grinding wheel to a grinding wheel contour.

  • Patent number: 9317982
Abstract: An access control system is provided for controlling access between a secured side and a non-secured side of an access control point. A reader module is disposed on the secured side of the access control point for receiving authentication data from an individual. A controller unit is disposed on the non-secured side of the access control point, and has a housing that encloses an access control panel and a request-to-exit motion sensor. The access control panel is in communication with the reader module, an electronic lock mechanism, and the request-to-exit motion sensor. In response to receiving a data signal from the reader, the access control panel determines whether or not to unlock the lock. When it is determined that the lock should be unlocked, the access control panel provides a signal to the electronic lock for switching the lock from a secured condition to a released condition.

  • Patent number: 9265239
Abstract: A deep diving fishing lure having a forwardly-extending diving lip is provided with a fore-and-aft pivotable lure positioning arm pivotably mounted about a pivot axis within the diving lip near the lower portion of the forward face. The lure positioning arm, when fixed in an aft position relative to the pivot axis rests within a longitudinally extending groove located in the diving lip. The lure positioning arm, when in the fixed aft position maintains the lure in a diving position when pulled through a body of water but negates the lure's tendency to dive when released from the aft position.
