Abstract: The instant application discloses receiving a command via a processor to initiate a window creation operation on a client computing device, retrieving at least one image tile pre-allocated in a memory of the client computing device, performing a draw operation that places at least one image overplayed onto the at least one image tile and displaying the image overplayed onto the at least one image tile on a display of the client computing device.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for consistent and transparent replication of multi process multi threaded applications. The computer readable medium includes computer-executable instructions for execution by a processing system. Primary applications runs on primary hosts and one or more replicated instances of each primary application run on one or more backup hosts. Replica consistency between primary application and its replicas is provided by imposing the execution ordering of the primary on all its replicas. The execution ordering on a primary is captured by intercepting calls to the operating system and libraries, sending replication messages to its replicas, and using interception on the replicas to enforce said captured primary execution order. Replication consistency is provided without requiring modifications to the application, operating system or libraries.

Abstract: The present invention provides a module or system and a method that includes: 1) a transparent screen assembly containing an actuator layer lying between two layers of transparent multiple line electrodes, where one electrode layer of forms lines in the x-direction layer and the other electrode layer forms lines in the y-direction; and 2) a controller that is connected to these electrodes. The system and method of the present invention provides: 1) multiple touch sensing on or near a surface of the transparent screen and 2) simultaneous high resolution tactile feedback across the same surface.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a technique to configure a data source name (DSN) for use during a data source access. A driver is selected. An identifier is provided that identifies a class, and a library or an application that implements a driver interface for accessing the data source. A connection string is forwarded with the identifier from an implementation of the driver interface to the driver. The connection string is forwarded from the driver to a driver manager managing a client.

For example, one or more sections of the document may be converted into secured content. The secured content may then be removed from the document, and replaced with replacement content in the document. This may prevent a viewer with no privileges from viewing secured content.

Abstract: A method and system for automating application of software patches to a server system having a virtualization layer. A plurality of software patches are downloaded to a computer system having a first operating system. The software patches to apply to a server console operating system are then determined. The software patches are automatically copied to the server system by executing a first script file. The copied software patches are automatically decompressed by executing a second script file. The decompressed software patches are installed in a specified order by executing the second script file. The console operating system is rebooted only after all software patches are installed.

Abstract: Interactions between users on mobile devices can be facilitated by making the users aware when other users have performed similar searches. In one embodiment, when two users executing a mapping application on a mobile device each perform a similar search in a similar geographic area, the server that receives and performs the search request can make each user aware of the other's presence, for example by displaying an icon indicating the other user on the mapping application. The search results may be refined to indicate search results in a geographic area common to the geographic search areas of each user.

Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and method of organizing a plurality of data recipients subscribed to receive information from a leader. An example method may include receiving a plurality of response messages from at least a portion of the plurality of data recipients, and determining a decrease in the plurality of response messages received from the at least a portion of the plurality of data recipients based on a previous number of response messages received. The method may also include removing at least one data recipient from the plurality of data recipients and adding the removed at least one data recipient to a new group of data recipients responsive to the decrease in the plurality of response messages received.

The hosted applications are contained within one or more isolated environments or run without isolated environments. The system may include usage billing based on one or more of resources open, amount of data flowing through resources, number of open files, number of transactions, number of concurrent users, number of processes, CPU utilization and memory usage, The system may further include a management interface where administrators may add, remove and configure isolated environments, configure client policies and credentials, and force upgrades. If using isolated environments, the isolated environments may be isolated from other applications and the host operating system on the clients and applications within the isolated environments may run without performing an application-installation on the client.

Abstract: In distributed object computing, messages from a source node to a destination node are often required to be routed via one or more intermediate nodes. In order to enhance efficiency of the relay process, a message envelope of a message may include a node list field that specifies the routing path of the message. The communication protocol for communicating the message may specify that when a message is received into a particular node, the node analyzes the node list field. If the identity of the node is last in the node list field, then the node is the destination node and thus the node unmarshals the message. Otherwise, the node forwards the message to the next node in the field list without unmarshalling the message.

The computer readable medium includes computer-executable instructions for execution by a processing system. Primary applications runs on primary hosts and one or more replicated instances of each primary application run on one or more backup hosts. The reliable messaging ensures consistent ordered delivery of messages in the event that messages are lost; arrive out of order, or in duplicate. The messaging layer operates over TCP or UDP with our without multi-cast and broad-cast and requires no modification to applications, operating system or libraries.

Abstract: In order to manage stale data on a network of computer systems, a file harvester agent may be configured with a list of stale data files to be deleted. The file harvester agent may be deployed to the computer systems of a network. When executed in a computer system, the file harvester agent searches the file system of the computer system to locate any files or data indicated in the file list. Any located data files are deleted. Once the agent has finished processing the file list on a computer system, the agent can copy or replicate itself to other computer systems of the network in accordance with a pre-configured itinerary.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed that create an electronic form based on table data provided by Internet searching operations. One example may include determining at least one search term, querying, via a server, information provided by at least one network based on the search term, and copying at least one data table resulting from the information discovered during the querying operation. Additional operations may include parsing the at least one data table and storing the information in the server, displaying the data table to an end user so that the end user may select whether the data table should be included in the electronic form, and providing the user with the option to select and edit the contents of the data table. Upon the user's approval the data table may be copied into the electronic form.

Abstract: Managing updates to executable programming code on a computer system in a computer network. A maintenance service utility is configured to launch a maintenance procedure at a specified time during operation of the computer system. Operation of a maintenance timer utility is activated during startup of the computer system to track and monitor the amount of time the computer system has been operating since startup. The maintenance service utility determines if there any updates to the executable programming code that require installation. The maintenance procedure is launched after a specified time if there are updates to the executable programming code. The computer system is automatically rebooted to install the updates to the executable programming code. A maintenance service editor utility enables the maintenance service utility to be configured to launch the maintenance procedure after a specified time if there are updates to the executable programming code.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method of communicating with a user of a wireless device and processing message delivery. One example method of operation may include identifying a group of participants to receive a broadcast message transmitted from a wireless device, transmitting at least one broadcast message from the wireless device to a plurality of computing devices corresponding to the group of participants, receiving a plurality of response messages responsive to the at least one transmitted broadcast message, examining the plurality of response messages and extracting content of the plurality of response messages, generating a summary message based on the extracted content of the plurality of response messages, the summary message comprising portions from all of the plurality of response messages and also comprising information unique to each of the plurality of response messages, and displaying the summary message on a display interface of the wireless device.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for providing application isolation to one or more applications and their associated resources. The system may include one or more isolated environments including application files and executables, and one or more interception layers intercepting access to system resources and interfaces. Further, the system may include an interception database maintaining mapping between the system resources inside the one or more isolated environments and outside, and a host operating system. The one or more applications may be isolated from other applications and the host operating system while running within the one or more isolated environments.

Abstract: A system which employs a method of creating transferable map schemas, storing the map schemas to storage devices, receiving target device settings, re-sampling the map schemas to fit the target devices using the target device settings, delivering the re-sampled map schemas to the target devices is described. Thereby providing the innovation that map schemas may be accessed by more than one type of device, the method by which maps are scaled from a created map dimension with given details to either a larger map having the ability to be utilized on a more capable playing device or to a map or a smaller map having the ability to be utilized on a less capable device without losing the important game-specific required data is also described.
