Abstract: Vector-based record handling by a workflow facility may be performed in association with performing a step from a workflow model that requires more than one input. The workflow facility retrieves the records needed to complete the step as a collection of records comprising a single input unit. Various components of the workflow facility, including components that operate within a runtime environment provided by the facility, perform processing of the collection of records so that the step from the workflow model can be completed.

Abstract: Systems and method for dynamically loaded menus and objects are provided that can provide cross-platform capability and accessibility features. Objects in a page that are dynamic or are not human-readable (e.g., executable or images) can be identified and enhanced for compatibility with screen readers. HTML corresponding to the object can be generated and loaded in storage for use within the web page. The loaded HTML can be copied into the HTML of the web page. A blank placeholder may be displayed in the area in which the corresponding HTML is to be displayed and the corresponding HTML is displayed over the placeholder to provide a replacement object such as to display a list of URL menu items.

Abstract: Applications are supplied to mobile devices. An application template is developed as a hierarchy of nested elements and layout data for a plurality of types of element. An application is generated by applying content data to one or more of the elements to form objects. The objects are supplied to a requesting mobile device, such that each object contains data, an identification of its position within the hierarchy and an identification of its element type. In addition, layout data is supplied to the mobile device for element types corresponding to the supplied object.

Abstract: Systems and methods for in-context editing of web pages in which the production format of a web page is visible while the web page is being edited, and the editable image is not distorted by the editing tools. In one embodiment, a system includes a server computer, a client computer and a transmission channel coupled between them. The server computer receives a request for a web page from the client computer and responsively transmits a web page containing in-context editing tools to the client computer. The client computer operate alternately in a first mode in which the in-context editing tools are superimposed on a web page image, or a second mode in which the web page image is displayed, but the in-context editing tools are hidden. The tools overlay in the first mode does not alter the production format of the web page image as displayed in the second mode.

Abstract: A data processing system-implemented method can be used to better track a user's movements between network addresses. The method can comprise sending a frame identifier and a requested (current) network address at a first time. The method can also comprise finding a record including the frame identifier that has a prior network address and a time prior to the current time. The method can further comprise generating an entry for a table that includes the frame identifier, the current network address, the prior network address, and time. A server computer or a client computer can generate the entry. Improved accountability and improved user profile accuracy can be obtained with the method. A data processing system readable medium can comprise code that includes instructions for carrying out the method.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein relate to a system for documenting transactions. A filter is provided that captures content associated with transactions. The filter may be configured to start and stop the capture at predetermined times, and may be further configured to specify what content is to be captured during a transaction. The system may store any documents or data associated with a transaction, including dynamic content and user selections and inputs. A document repository may be provided for storing unstructured data representing data, text, forms, and so forth presented to a party during a transaction. A viewer may be provided for displaying data stored in the document repository.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing users of client devices with coordinated access to Information and/or functionality of multiple types, such as by using multiple types of connections to multiple information services of distinct types that exchange context information related to activities of the users and/or clients. The client devices can be, for example, wireless devices with multiple distinct modes (e.g., voice and data modes) for different types of connections with different types of servers (e.g., voice servers and data servers). In some situations, coordination between different servers allows multiple distinct interaction sessions of different types with different servers to remain synchronized or otherwise coordinated over time as the user performs interactions via the different sessions. Sets of users granted administrative privileges may further grant and delegate administrative privileges to other sets of users to perform administration type operations on site objects over which they have administrative privileges. The types of graphical user interfaces includes server consoles and site consoles. Server consoles enable the performance of administration on all objects within the framework. Site consoles enable the performance of administration within a respective site.

Abstract: An improved software testing system is described. In various embodiments, the system may produce a glossary containing keywords from the program state information associated with a software application to be tested. The system may produce a state engine model for the software application utilizing the program state information associated with the software application. The system may generate a test script by causing the software application to move through states identified by the state engine model such that the test script can identify a sequence of steps or keywords from the glossary. The system may select a keyword based on the current state of the software application and persona information. A persona may indicate a type of testing.

Abstract: A facility for managing a document conversion environment is described. In various embodiments, the facility includes a native application associated with a native document type and an isolation service. The isolation service determines whether a native application associated with the native document type has started and when it has not started, starts the native application and causes the started native application to load and convert a native document to a common document format, wherein the isolation service starts a single instance of the native application and monitors the single instance of the native application so that it complies with specified a parameter, condition, or setting of operation.

Abstract: In response to a user touching one of a plurality of pieces of content arranged on a display in a two-dimensional manner, a browsing system and method may transform the pieces of content into a three-dimensional arrangement, with the desired piece of content being displayed on the very top and overlapping adjacent pieces of content. The plurality of pieces of content can be images, each of which may be associated with a document. The images may be sorted based on the associated documents, for instance, the relevance of the associated documents with respect to a context or topic. The images in the three-dimensional arrangement may have a size which decreases from the desired image in both horizontal and vertical directions such that only a portion of the images being overlapped is exposed.

Abstract: An automated rule-based system for facilitating delivery of a fax document from a source to a destination over a network where an initial delivery attempt has been unsuccessful. Rules may be stored in a database. The database may include rules based on past delivery information or new delivery instructions. When an input condition is determined, the database may be traversed to determine an action based on the set of rules. The actions may include one or more of resubmitting the fax document to the network for a next delivery attempt, cancelling the document, and identifying the destination as a technical problem. The input conditions may include an identification of non-business days and non-business hours.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for the sending, delivery and receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at a user's site, and a faxing system that may be deployed remotely from the user's site. The fax connector can be accessed at the user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at the user's site communicates with the remotely deployed faxing system to send, receive, obtain status on, or perform other functions associated with, faxing.

Abstract: A management system can associate the behavior of backend and application systems with a web site visitor's browsing behavior and activity at a web site. In one embodiment, the management system can time order requests and events from server computers communicatively connected to the management system. Each of these requests and events may contain a time stamp and a user identification. Each event for a user identified by the user identification is associated with a request from that user that is the closest in time to the event according to the time ordering. This can allow more relevant personalized content be sent to the user based on the user's most recent views and/or activity on the web site.

Abstract: A method and system and computer program product implementing same can be used to automatically manage a digital asset, from development to deployment, to control change within a network environment in a comprehensive and efficient manner. Digital assets can be tracked for progress and inaccuracies, mistakes, and incompatibilities can be addressed prior to deployment. Stages can be used to formalize and automate the flow of digital assets along the process. Further, metadata regarding the digital asset can be captured at any time to provide an audit trail for the digital asset from development all the way through deployment. The metadata can include not only the change records for the digital asset but may also include other information, such as results from staging and where the digital asset has been deployed. Any stage may have access to any or all metadata captured for the digital asset.

Abstract: Systems and methods for management of a cache are disclosed. In general, embodiments described herein store access counts in file system metadata associated with files in the cache. By encoding access counts in the file system metadata, file I/O operations are reduced. Preferably, the reference count is encoded in an access count timestamp in the file system metadata. The access counts can be decoded based on the difference between the access count time stamp and a base time value, with larger differences reflecting a larger access count. The cache can be aged by advancing the base time value, thereby causing the access count for a file to drop. The base time value can also be stored in file system metadata, thereby reducing file I/O operations when performing aging.

Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed provided methods or systems for transmitting data over a network. Specifically, in certain embodiments, data for transmission is received and a datagram comprising at least a portion of the data can be created and sent to a terminal. Control data can be received from the terminal and the transmission of the data to the terminal adjusted based on the received control data. In certain embodiments both the datagram and the control data may be transmitted over an unreliable protocol. Thus, embodiments as disclosed may provide an increased level of reliability and adaptability to differing network conditions in conjunction with the use of an unreliable protocol.
