Abstract: The application describes a system and method for extracting a star schema from tabular data for use in a multidimensional database. The system can receive a tabular data including a plurality of columns, and determine a relationship between each pair of the plurality of columns by analyzing actual values in a plurality of rows for each pair of columns. Based on the determined relationships among the plurality of columns and a type of each column, the system can use a heuristic process to identify a plurality of cube elements from the plurality of columns to construct a star schema. A user interface can be provided to display potential problems of the star schema, and one or more alternative approaches for a user to select to extract a star schema from the tabular data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing a Virtual Switch (vSwitch) architecture that supports transparent virtualization and live migration. In an embodiment, a vSwitch with prepopulated Local Identifiers (LIDs). Another embodiment provides for vSwitch with dynamic LID assignment. Another embodiment provides for vSwitch with prepopulated LIDS and dynamic LID assignment Moreover, embodiments of the present invention provide scalable dynamic network reconfiguration methods which enable live migrations of VMs in network environments.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing a browser extension for exploration in an analytics environment. A data analytics environment can operate at a computer system providing access to a database or data warehouse instance. At a client device, a browser extension can be made available whereby a user can explore a table of interest at an online data content resource, such as at a web site or web page, and instruct the browser extension to import, sanitize, and begin analysis of the table within the analytics environment. The approach can be used, for example, to identify tables or other arrangements of data provided by a web site, and present options to the user to retrieve the data into the analytics environment, for further review or to create visualizations associated with the data.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein are systems and methods for use with business process management (BPM) systems or environments, including software development tools for developing software applications that are associated with business processes (business process software applications, business process applications, process applications, or processes). In accordance with an embodiment, the system comprises a column-based process editor and graphical user interface, that can utilize a column-based format to model and display a process, for example a dynamic process, which can subsequently be deployed and executed within the system or environment. For example, the column-based process editor and graphical user interface can include various graphical elements to indicate configured properties of artifacts of a dynamic process. Interaction with the graphical elements enables users to review, edit, and/or remove particular properties associated with the dynamic process.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for utilizing network function (NF) service attributes associated with registered network function service producers in a hierarchical network are disclosed. One method comprises receiving, by a root network function repository function (NRF) operating in a hierarchical network and from a regional NRF operating in a first region of the hierarchical network, a NF registration message or a NF update message, wherein the NF registration message or NF update message includes an NrfInfo structure that contains one or more NF service attributes specifying one or more NF services provided by at least one NF service producer registered with the regional NRF. The method further includes extracting, by the root NRF, the one or more NF service attributes from the NrfInfo structure, and creating, by the root NRF, one or more indexed entries containing the one or more NF service attributes in a local state information database.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes providing a fixed portion of a data model, uploading external files to an extended portion of the data model, matching at least some parts of the external files to the fixed portions of the data model, and using data from both the fixed and extended portions of the data model together. A computer-implemented method includes receiving a query from a user to a data model that includes a stored subject area portion and a stored extended subject area portion, accessing at least one storage to retrieve the subject area portion and the extended subject area portion, joining relevant portions of the subject area and extended subject area, extracting answers to the query from the joined portions, and reporting the answers to the user.

Abstract: A secure private network connectivity system (SNCS) within a cloud service provider infrastructure (CSPI) is described that provides secure private network connectivity between external resources residing in a customer's on-premise environment and the customer's resources residing in the cloud. Secure access to an external resource is enabled by the SNCS by creating an external resource representation (i.e., a computing instance) for the external resource in the customer's virtual cloud network (VCN) in the cloud and creating a virtual network interface card for the external resource representation. Using the SNCS, the customer can securely access the external resource residing in their on-premise network from within their VCN by connecting to the virtual IP address assigned to the VNIC without requiring to set up elaborate site-to-site networking, without making changes to their on-premise routing configuration or without making any changes to the configuration of the external resource.

Abstract: Provided are systems, methods, and computer-readable medium for a simulation platform that can generate simulated activity data for testing a security monitoring and control system. In various examples, the simulation platform can parse the activity data from a cloud service to generate a template, where each entry in the template describes an action and the fields associated with the action. The simulation platform can further generate a configuration that describes a test scenario. The simulation platform can use the configuration and the template to generate the particular action, including randomizing some or all of the fields of the action. When input into the security monitoring and control system, the system can operate on the simulated activity data in the same way as when the system ingests live activity data.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein are systems and methods that enable client-side calculation with data provided at a multidimensional or other database server. Data provided at the server in accordance with a server-side model, can be transformed/prepared into a grid, for use with a client-side application, for example a client spreadsheet application. During preparation of the grid, one or more portions of the grid that are identified as client-side dynamic parameters, can be represented as dynamic formulas that are modifiable within the client-side application; while parameters of the server-side model that are outside of the grid can be represented as constant values. The grid provided to the client can be used to perform client-side calculations that allow for rapid calculations in response to changes in the client-side model, without introducing a round-trip performance lag between the client-side and server-side.

Abstract: Techniques are described for identifying resources within a region of a cloud-computing environment. A Resource Identification Service (RIS) may be configured to obtain a flock configuration file comprising resource discovery data associated with a service. The resource discovery data may indicate a set of parameters with which a previously existing resource of the cloud-computing environment is to be identified. RIS may execute operations to identify the previously existing resource based at least in part on matching attributes associated with previously existing resource to the set of parameters of the resource discovery data. The RIS may identify, from the flock configuration file, a set of import operations to perform to obtain an identifier corresponding to the previously existing resource. The identifier may be provided to cause the previously existing resource to be utilized in a region build.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods automatic selection for dynamic site compilation in a cloud-based content hub environment. In accordance with an embodiment, embodiments provide an artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) engine that monitors and collects both content and consumption analytics associated with content items on a webpage. Based upon an analysis of such metrics, content can be automatically tagged such that the content item can be statically compiled with the website (optimized for viewing speed and user experience), or dynamically fetched/loaded on a load or refresh of the website.

Abstract: Techniques for implementing an infrastructure orchestration service are described. A safety plan comprising a list of resources and operations based at least in part on a deployment configuration file can be received. Upon receiving approval of the safety plan, an operation corresponding to at least one of the list of resources can be prepared to be performed. The operation can be compared to the safety plan. If the operation is part of the safety plan, the operation can be performed. If the operation is not part of the safety plan, the deployment can be halted, and a notification that the deployment is not in compliance with the safety plan can be transmitted.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for supporting efficient reconfiguration of an interconnection network having a pre-existing routing comprising. An exemplary method can provide, a plurality of switches, the plurality switches comprising at least one leaf switch, wherein each of the one or more switches comprise a plurality of ports, and a plurality of end nodes, wherein the plurality of end nodes are interconnected via the one or more switches. The method can detect, by a subnet manager, a reconfiguration triggering event. The method can compute, by the subnet manager, a new routing for the interconnection network, wherein the computing by the subnet manager of the new routing for the interconnection network takes into consideration the pre-existing routing and selects the new routing for the interconnection network that is closest to the pre-existing routing. The method can reconfigure the interconnection network according to the new routing.

Abstract: Systems and methods for candidate recommendation are provided. Candidate vectors are generated from candidate documents, and an initial ranking is performed according to a distance metric between the candidate vector and an objective vector generated based on an objective document to select a subset of the candidate documents. A feature vector is generated for each of the selected candidate documents. The feature vector includes features derived from a first vectorized representation of content from one of the candidate document and the objective document and a second vectorized representation of content from the one of the candidate document and the objective document. The feature vector is provided to a machine learning model to generate a score for each of the selected candidate documents. The selected candidate documents are ranked according the scores generated at the machine learning model to provide a ranked candidate list.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein are systems and methods for supporting a declarative non code self-learning advisory framework in an orchestration based application integration. The systems and methods can provide an advisory framework as a component of an integration platform which can allow declaratively defined recommendations, guidance, warnings etc. to be shown to the consumer of the platform on occurrence of certain events. The advisory framework can provide benefits such as: 1) allowing any entity to declaratively define/modify the rules and advices which will immediately get reflected across the customer fleet without dependency on product's release cadence; 2) where such updates to declaratively defined rules and advices does not involve any code changes to do the product; 3) comprises a structure which is generic and not component specific; and 4) can have self-learning capabilities from the generated product metrics.

Abstract: A behavioral load shaping (BLS) system can be implemented to encourage consumer reductions in resource consumption. To accomplish this, consumption reports detailing resource consumption can be generated and transmitted to consumers to encourage resource consumption. A series of resource consumption reports can be generated and transmitted to consumers at regular time intervals throughout a calendar year informing the consumer of the rates the consumer is being charged for peak hour and non-peak hour resource consumption. To encourage the consumer to reduce their resource consumption, especially during peak hours, the resource consumption report can include information or insights as to how the consumer can reduce his/her resource consumption especially during peak hours. The resource reports can also include information regarding changes in the peak hours and non-peak hours. The resource reports can also inform the consumer that the consumer is about to exceed a high resource bill threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing latency of probing operations of remotely located linear hash tables are described herein. In an embodiment, a system receives a request to perform a probing operation on a remotely located linear hash table based on a key value. Prior to performing the probing operation, the system dynamically predicts a number of slots for a single read of the linear hash table to minimize total cost for an average probing operation. The system determines a hash value based on the key value and determines a slot of the linear hash table to which the hash value corresponds. After predicting the number of slots, the system issues an RDMA request to perform a read of the predicted number of slots from the linear hash table starting at the slot to which the hash value corresponds.

Abstract: Techniques are described for creating a network-link between a first virtual network in a first cloud environment and a second virtual network in a second cloud environment. The first virtual network in the first cloud environment is created to enable a user associated with a customer tenancy in the second cloud environment to access one or more services provided in the first cloud environment. The network-link is created based on one or more link-enabling virtual networks being deployed in the first cloud environment and the second cloud environment.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing a multi-cloud control plane (MCCP) in a first cloud infrastructure (included in a first cloud environment provided by a first cloud services provider) that enables services and/or resources provided in the first cloud infrastructure to be utilized by users of a second cloud environment. The first cloud infrastructure receives a request from a user associated with an account in the second cloud infrastructure. The request corresponding to using a service provided by the first cloud infrastructure. A tenancy is created for the user in the first cloud infrastructure to enable the user to utilize the service, and a link-resource object is created that includes information linking the tenancy of the user in the first cloud infrastructure to the account of the user in the second cloud infrastructure, the link-resource object enabling the user to utilize the service provided by the first cloud infrastructure.

Abstract: System and method for supporting scalable representation of switch port status in a high performance computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, a scalable representation of switch port status can be provided. By adding a scalable representation of switch port status at each switch (both physical and virtual)—instead of getting all switch port changes individually, the scalable representation of switch port status can combine a number of ports that can scale by just using a few bits of information for each port's status.
