Abstract: A method is described for negotiating a contract between two parties in a telecommunications network, as well as devices implementing the method. The method includes distributing, by a first party, a smart contract comprising: a subscription method allowing a second party to distribute a transaction for subscribing to the contract proposal, a method for generating a personalised contract between the parties and requesting their registration in the blockchain, the personalised contract being generated on the basis of parameters included in the transaction, executing the subscription method by a terminal of the second party, the execution triggering the distribution of a transaction comprising parameters representing the acceptance of the contract proposal by the second party, and executing, by a mining device, the method for generating a personalised contract with these parameters.

Abstract: A device and a method for storing and sharing data from objects connected to an Internet network, and a method for restoring data coming from objects connected to an Internet network. A storage and sharing device is implemented in the network and enables a control device connected to the network to browse among the stored data and to command reading of a selected item of data in the data storage and sharing device by a restoring device connected to network. The data storage and sharing device includes interfaces for loading data, each interface receiving data from at least one object connected to the Internet network. Hence, a communication terminal can access, by using a single device, data coming from all of the connected objects thereof even when these objects use different communication protocols and/or when the communication terminal does not use the communication protocol of the connected object.

Abstract: A method for managing the access, by a player/reader device, to a multimedia content accessible from a source, called main source, from which broadcast of the content has begun. A change of the play/read time, during the playing/reading, is able to trigger a playing/reading from a first source selected by default and offering a first rendering quality. The method includes: receiving a request for access to the content being broadcast; obtaining a set of data sources, called secondary sources, from which the content is accessible; receiving, during the playing/reading, a command for moving the play/read time; and selecting a source depending on the first rendering quality and on the second rendering quality.

Abstract: A method for allocating at least one transmission resource from among a plurality of resources, intended for routing a first item of data relating to a first application in a communication infrastructure. The method is implemented in a distributed management entity for managing the plurality of resources and includes: receiving, from a centralized management entity, an allocation message for allocating a plurality of resources having a set of transmission features for a second item of data relating to a second application; and assigning at least one resource of the plurality to the transmission of the first item of data. The method furthermore includes selecting a feature of the set for the transmission of the second item of data on the resources of the plurality that are not assigned to the transmission of the first item of data.

Abstract: A method for processing a request from a first communication terminal, intended to establish communication with a second communication terminal via a communications management platform. Abstract: A method for protecting a client domain, for example against a computing attack, implemented in a client node of the client domain. The method includes: discovering at least one other client node of the client domain, called a discovered node; detecting a conflict between at least two management rules for the traffic associated with the client domain; and resolving the detected conflict, including: if one of the rules was installed by a the discovered node, modifying the rule or a state associated with the discovered node; and otherwise, obtaining, from a the discovered node, an item of information for identifying at least one node of the client domain that installed one of the rules; and detecting and/or resolving the conflict using information obtained during the discovery of the at least one other node of the client domain.

Abstract: A method for managing adaptive streaming of an item of digital content within a multimedia stream reading terminal connected to a mobile communication network is disclosed. The item of digital content is associated with a description file for the item and includes a list of time segments of the item of content that are each associated with multiple encoding rates of the item of content. A maximum data volume to be consumed within the mobile communication network, as a data bucket, is allocated to the multimedia stream reading terminal. When the adaptive streaming of the item is launched, the method determines a data volume that would be consumed by the multimedia stream reading terminal as a result of streaming the time segments and selects a maximum encoding rate of the item authorized for the streaming on the basis of the consumed data volume associated therewith and of the data bucket.

Abstract: An order processing system includes a plurality of robotic devices, a set of storage systems, an order consolidation system, and a control server. The control server receives a set of orders for an item, determines a cumulative order quantity of the item, and selects a subset of the set of orders to be opened up for consolidation at the order consolidation system. The control server identifies one the storage systems that stores the item as per the cumulative order quantity and assigns the storage system to an operator station for batch picking of the cumulative order quantity. The control server controls a first robotic device to transport the storage system to the operator station, and a second robotic device to collect from the operator station a first portion of the cumulative order quantity and transfer the first portion to a set of order bins associated with the subset of orders.

Abstract: A method for managing the HTTP adaptive streaming of an item of digital content within a multimedia stream player terminal in a local communication network is disclosed, the multimedia stream player terminal being associated with a terminal for rendering the item of digital content. On detection of an active state of a screen saver mode of the rendering terminal, such a management method implements a progressive reduction of a video rendering quality of the streamed item of digital content, and maintains an audio rendering quality of the item of content.

Abstract: A method for managing the transmission of geographical locations from a geolocation beacon during the movement thereof. The method includes: defining a first reference communication network associated with a first value and with a reference frequency used for the transmission of the locations over the first network; locating the beacon in a second network during the movement thereof; obtaining a second value associated with the second network; comparing the first and the second value, and when the values differ, the method includes modifying the reference frequency for the transmission of the locations over the second network.

The device includes: a first incoming single-mode optical fibre, injecting the incoming useful signal; a second incoming single-mode optical fibre, injecting an optical signal of optical frequency substantially equal to that of the incoming useful signal, referred to as an oscillation signal, a signal mixer in which one of the signals from the first or second fibre is separated into two signals having orthogonal polarisations, and where the other one of the signals from the first or second fibre is mixed with the two separate signals, producing a mixed signal; a detector of the transported data present in the mixed signal; and an amplitude modulator configured to modulate the oscillation signal before it enters the mixer, the modulation pattern having repetitive pulses of the same interval as a symbol time of the incoming useful signal.

Abstract: The present technology relates to systems and associated methods for measuring properties of particles in a solution. In one or more embodiments, a particle measurement system is configured to generate a reference signal, communicate the reference signal across a plurality of resistors and overlapping pairs of electrodes that define detection regions for particulates traveling through a microchannel, and measure various properties of the particles based on detecting changes in the communicated reference signal.

Abstract: Processing sound signals acquired by a microphone, for example an ambisonic type, to locate a sound source in a space including at least one wall. A time-frequency transform is applied to the acquired signals, and, from the acquired signals, a velocity vector, complex with real and imaginary parts, is expressed in the frequency domain, wherein the velocity vector characterizes a composition between: a first acoustic path, direct between the source and the microphone, represented by a first vector; and a second acoustic path resulting from a reflection on the wall and represented by a second vector. The second path has a first delay with respect to the direct path. Depending on the first delay and the first and second vectors, a parameter is determined from among a direction of the direct path, a distance from the source to the microphone, and a distance from the source to said wall.

Abstract: A method and device for coding and decoding a coded data stream representative of at least one image split into blocks. For a current block, a group of pixel values in the block is determined from previously decoded pixels, and for each pixel, a prediction residue is decoded. A prediction value for the pixel is determined according to a first prediction mode by predicting the pixel from at least one other previously decoded pixel belonging to the current block. Information is decoded from the stream indicating whether the pixel is predicted according to a second prediction mode using a prediction resulting from the group of pixel values in the block. When the pixel is predicted according the second mode, the prediction value for the pixel is replaced with a selected value of the group. The pixel is reconstructed using the prediction value associated with the pixel and the prediction residue.
