Abstract: An articulated joint for orthopedic orthoses or braces, where the brace comprises rods for the tibia (51) and rods for the femur (52) and an articulated hinge (53) provided with four pivots designed to ensure the necessary mobility obtained by the presence of multiple centres of rotation, and where the articulated hinge (53) comprises two plates (55, 56) reciprocally connected by means of four quadrilaterally positioned hinging means such as rivets (57) or similar, in order to enclose the ends of the rods (51, 52) which face each other, wherein between the ends of the two rods (51, 52) there are spacers or stops (63), and where the outer plate (55) of the articulated hinge (53) presents openings (61, 62) in which are inserted pairs of stops (63) which limit the ROM of the joint.
Abstract: A brace (10) which can be used in the orthopedic sector for correctly blocking and anatomically supporting the vertebral column, substantially consisting of a semirigid slat (11), with elongated vertical development, shaped in accordance with the vertebral column and thus making it possible to follow and support the column, the lower part being attached to straps (12) which are fixed at the front to an abdominal plate (13), wrapping around the waist, and the upper part to the end of straps (14) which also couple to the same abdominal plate (13), passing through loops (15) positioned at the sides, there being, in the initial part of the straps (14), that is to say in the coupling area (16) of the casing that encloses the semirigid slat and to a certain extent the section towards the front of the brace, a pocket (17) surrounded by stitching and in which there is a slit (18), said pocket being designed to accommodate a stiffening element (19) with a substantially arched shape.
Abstract: A climbing shoe comprising a substantially sock-shaped shoe-upper, so as to completely cover the foot of the user; a front sole which is fixed on the bottom part of the shoe-upper so as to cover the tarsal-phalangeal region of the sole of the foot; a rear sole which is separate and spaced apart from the front sole and is fixed on the bottom part of the shoe-upper so as to at least partly cover the talus-calcaneus region of the sole of the foot; and a substantially ribbon-shaped medial tensioning strip which is made of elastomeric material and is fixed on the bottom part of the shoe-upper so as to extend substantially along the center line of the sole of the foot, from the shoe-upper area under the front sole up to the shoe-upper area under the rear sole following an arched trajectory.
Abstract: A blocking device (20) for fastening orthoses used in the orthopedic-rehabilitation sector to parts of the body of a person comprises a casing (21) housing a cable (40) wound on a reel (23) by the rotation of a knob (27) restrained to the casing (21) during the winding stage and partially releasable from the casing by pushing and/or pulling the knob, in order to operate with respect to a ratchet-type non-return system, wherein the ratchet-type non-return system consists of elastic tabs (32) which are part of the casing (21), and an inner toothed edge (31) of the knob (27).
Abstract: A cushion for a chair including a seat member and a back-supporting member, wherein the seat member includes two ischium-facing portions, a surface of each ischium-facing portion abutting an ischium of the user and having a specific three-dimensional curved surface; and the back-supporting member includes an ilium upper border-facing portion and a lower ribs-facing portion, a surface of the ilium upper border-facing portion abutting an ilium of the user and being entirely concavely curved in a transverse cross section along a left-right direction, a surface of the lower ribs-facing portion abutting the lower ribs of the user and being entirely concavely curved in the transverse cross section along the left-right direction, and a portion of the back-supporting member upper than the lower ribs-facing portion having a specific three-dimensional curved surface.
Abstract: A fire-shielding U-shaped outer frame element adapted for supporting a side of at least one wall element in a wall construction, said outer frame element being elongate and comprising a bottom part and a first side flange and a second side flange extending at an angle to the bottom part, interior surfaces of the side flanges being adapted for extending along exterior surfaces of the wall element. The outer frame element (1) comprises a plurality of perforations (15) and a first elongate strip (16) of a material having thermal shielding properties and being arranged on a surface of the first and/or second side flange (13, 14) of the outer frame element (1) so as to shield the wall element from heat from a fire. A set of parts include an outer frame element and a fastenings means for use between wall elements when making a wall construction.
Abstract: A positive displacement pump has a casing with a central body and two closing lids, the central body being provided with two cylindrical communicating chambers, one suction pipe and one discharge pipe, and two rotors revolvingly mounted in the chambers of the central body and supported by shafts revolvingly mounted in the closing lids. The two rotors include a male rotor having only protuberances, not cavities, and a female rotor having only cavities, not teeth or protuberances.
Abstract: Described is a device for recovering heat and fumes from slag resulting from the steel production cycle which allows the heat emitted by the slag during the cooling to be used without the need to collect the slag in tubs which must then be transported to the cooling surface and tipped in order to discharge the slag; at the same time, this device allows the fumes and consequently the heat and the pollutants which the slag emits during the tipping and the time on the cooling surface to be conveyed and treated.
Abstract: In a chain drive, the wear of a chain having a plurality of links, each of which is provided with a pair of pivot pins parallel to each other and transversally spaced apart from each other and at least three strips parallel to one another and arranged side by side is controlled by means of a detection device adapted to detect the breakage of at least one of the strips and to emit a signal indicating to replace the chain itself.
