  • Patent number: 11599349
Abstract: A gateway device is connected via one or more networks to electronic controllers on-board a vehicle. The gateway device includes one or more memories, and circuitry that acquires firmware update information. The circuitry determines whether or not a first electronic controller satisfies a second condition based on second information about the first electronic controller, where the second information is whether the first electronic controller includes a firmware cache for performing a pre-update firmware cache operation. The circuitry also causes, when the second condition is not satisfied, the gateway device to execute a proxy process, where the gateway device requests the first electronic controller to transmit boot ROM data to the gateway device, creates updated boot ROM data with the updated firmware, and transmits the updated boot ROM data to the first electronic controller that updates the boot ROM and resets the first electronic controller with the updated firmware.

  • Patent number: 11595977
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved semi-persistent resource allocation for a mobile terminal (MT) for transmitting periodic data. The MT transmits information on the periodic data to the radio base station (BS), such that the BS determines the different possible transmission periodicities and/or the different possible message sizes of the data components of the periodic data. The MT receives from the BS plural semi-persistent resource (SPS) configurations, each being usable to transmit at least one of the supported data components. The MT indicates to the BS the data components that are to be transmitted by the MT. The MT receives from the BS an activation command to activate one or more of the SPS configurations to periodically allocate radio resources for the MT to transmit each of the indicated data components. The MT then transmits the one or more data components based on the radio resources and the transmission periodicity as configured by the activated one or more SPS configurations.

  • Patent number: 11595422
Abstract: A method for use in a network communication system including a plurality of electronic controllers that communicate with each other via a bus in accordance with a Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol determines whether or not content of a predetermined field in a frame which has started to be transmitted meets a predetermined condition indicating fraud. In a case where the content of the predetermined field meets the predetermined condition, a frame including predetermined consecutive dominant bits for notifying an anomaly is transmitted before an end of the frame is transmitted. A number of times the frame including the predetermined consecutive dominant bits is transmitted is recorded for each identifier (ID) represented by content of an ID field included in a plurality of frames which has been transmitted. A malicious electronic controller is determined in accordance with the number of times recorded for each ID.
