  • Patent number: 11775661
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for limiting device functionality based on data detection and processing. A user computing device may include sensitive or confidential data and/or processes that utilize such data that a malicious party may wish to abuse, such as an electronic transaction processing application that uses financial data of a user. The device may therefore be compromised by the malicious party if the device becomes accessible to that party. The device may utilize one or more processes to detect device data determine data proximate to the device and/or contextual data in order to determine whether limitations on application processes are required based on the potential nearby risk. If the nearby risk indicates the device application processes may be in danger, the device may impose limitations on the processes and/or wipe data. The device may also alert other devices or nearby users.

  • Patent number: 11775439
Abstract: A computer system monitors usage of an application on a computing device to identify one or more pre-fetch situations corresponding to a user of the computing device. The computer system determines whether the computing device is in a situation that corresponds to at least one of the identified one or more pre-fetch situations. In response to determining that the computing device is in the situation that corresponds to the at least one of the identified one or more pre-fetch situations, the computer system causes data corresponding to the application to be pre-fetched.

  • Patent number: 11778027
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for the sharing and transferring of user data in online network systems operating in multiple jurisdictions. The different jurisdictions may be, for example, different geo-partitions in an online network system. Various techniques are disclosed for providing cross-partition operational functionalities (e.g., cross-geo transactions) between geo-partitioned server systems through the sharing and transferring of data between the geo-partitions. The geo-partitions may have established permissions for data that can be shared between the geo-partitions. A server system in one geo-partition may generate an auxiliary account from a subset of data shared across the geo-partitions that complies with the data permissions. Complying with the established data permissions may inhibit overlapping between the different laws or regulations of the geo-partitions.

  • Patent number: 11776040
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for user specific data distribution of crowd-sourced data. A user may provide data indicative of an item the user may wish to purchase, for example, through browsing history, entry of the item to a transaction, or other information. A community of users associated with the user, which may include the user or other known or nearby users, may provide real-time data collected by their devices of information that may be relevant to purchase of the item. The information may be passively or actively collected by components of devices for their devices, and may be crowd-sourced so that the community of users may elect to release the information and receive rewards by virtue of their data sharing. The information may be processed to determine a recommendation for purchase, which may be output through a commonly used communication platform for the user.

  • Patent number: 11762754
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to retaining a log entry in response to detection of a respective triggering event occurring within a computer network. This triggering event may result in a set of processes being performed. A computer system may determine a trace signature for the log entry. This trace signature may track information related to the set of processes. The computer system may compute, using the trace signature, a log retention value for the log entry. This log retention value may be computed using weight factors for ones of the set of processes. The computer system may retain the log entry within a log file according to a retention period that corresponds to the log retention value.

  • Patent number: 11763372
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for tagging objects in augmented reality to track object data. A user may capture visual data utilizing a device at a location, where the visual data includes one or more objects that the user may wish to associate with a purchase or sell offer. A device may perform object recognition to identify the object and an identifying characteristic of the object. A service provider may then receive offer details and may generate a graphical object or other virtual data that can be displayed with the object in an augmented reality experience. Later, when the object is identified in another augmented reality experience on a different device, the virtual graphic may be displayed, which may show the offer for the object. Further, the augmented reality may be used to process a transaction for the object and track the object.

  • Patent number: 11762996
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for detection of fraudulent displayable code data during device capture. A user may utilize a computing device to capture data at a certain location, such as imaging a QR code or reading an RFID reader. However, without knowing that those codes or devices are safe, the user make risk a computing attack on their device. Thus, processes herein provide a manner to detect when codes or devices are unsafe based on the additional data detected when encoded data is captured. In such instances, those codes and devices may be detected as fraudulent and the user may receive a warning of malicious computing attacks. Additionally, the user may be guided to valid codes and devices to utilize and may further receive information on removing such computing attacks.

  • Patent number: 11755571
Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for performing data scanning in a heterogenous data storage environment. A data scanning process on multiple different data storages may be performed based on a data scanning request, which specifies certain data of interest to be detected during the scanning. First, sampled data records are scanned from each of the data storages. Based on analyzing the data in the sampled data records and the metadata associated with each data storage, a fingerprint may be generated for each of the data storages that indicates a likelihood that the data storage includes the data of interest. A second scan may be performed on the data storage only if the fingerprint exceeds a threshold. The data of interest may be detected in the data storages during the second scan of the selected data storages.

  • Patent number: 11755776
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for detecting leakage of personal information in computing code configurations. A service provider, such as an electronic transaction processor for digital transactions, may utilize one or more computing systems and architectures to provide services to users. These may utilize applications, decision services, and microservices that invoke different application programming interfaces (APIs). When computing code is provided or changed, use of certain APIs may risk data leakage or misappropriation. Thus, the service provider may utilize an intelligent data processor to determine if these APIs are used in the computing code, and if so, back-trace through the computing code to determine the data objects used in API calls and requests. Thereafter, the service provider may determine whether sensitivity levels of the personal information are impacted by the APIs use of the personal information and may mask data that may be impacted.

  • Patent number: 11755392
Abstract: Systems and methods for smart cloud caching using edge computing and real-time customer journey insights are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system identifies a trend in communications received by a first edge cloud server, wherein each communication corresponds to a customer journey comprising user action steps performed in a client application. The system determines which user action steps cause API invocations to non-edge cloud servers and generates a sequence of API invocations in an order associated with the sequence of user action steps of the customer journey. The sequence of API invocations may be chained and/or bundled and stored in a cache for replication at edge cloud servers. The system may determine that the trend is pervasive in a geographical location based on satisfaction of a criteria, and replicate the cached sequence of API invocations at a cache of a second edge cloud server that services the geographical location.

  • Patent number: 11755699
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting and mitigating attacks that exploit vulnerabilities of a website are provided, according to various embodiments described below and herein. A computing device issues a request for a web page that is stored on a server. The server receives a request and issues a response that includes the requested web page and interceptor code injected into the response. The computing device receives the response, renders the web content and generates an interceptor from the interceptor code. The interceptor intercepts requests, responses to dynamically update the webpage and responses containing a challenge. When a computing device issues a request to the server to dynamically update the webpage, the server issues a response to the computing device that includes a challenge. Once computing device issues a request that includes an answer to the challenge, the server validates the answer and issues a response that dynamically updates the webpage.
