A second decision tree is generated using the structure of the first decision tree and the binned variables from the validation data set. The first and second decision tree are merged into a third decision tree. Leaf nodes of the third decision tree are sorted and merged until weights of evidence associated with the training data set and the validation data set are monotonic.
