Abstract: Systems, methods, and/or techniques for performing device recovery using a device management agent (DMAG) on a device may be provided. The DMAG may be in secure execution environment that may be protected by a hypervisor and/or may include or have a full network stack (e.g., via a tiny operating system associated therewith). The DMAG or other entity on the device may receive control of the device and/or may determine or detect whether an application and/or an operating system on the device may not be in a normal service. The DMAG or other entity may initiate a secure session with a DMS based on the application and/or operating system not being in the normal service such that the DMS may determine whether the device may have a potential software problem. The DMAG or other entity may set up or establish a recovery and/or upgrade session based on the device having the potential software problem (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20170103194
Abstract: Systems, methods, and/or techniques for performing active authentication on a device during a session with a user may be provided to detect an imposter. To perform active authentication, meta-recognition may be performed. For example, an ensemble method to facilitate detection of the imposter. The ensemble method may user discrimination using random boost and/or intrusion or change detection using transduction. Scores and/or results may be received from the ensemble method. A determination may be made, based on the scores and/or results, whether to continue to enable access to the device, whether to invoke collaborative filtering and/or challenge-responses for additional information, and/or whether to lock the device. Based on the determination, user profile adaptation on a user profile used in the ensemble method and/or the determination and/or retrain the ensemble method, collaborative filtering and/or challenge-responses, and/or a lock procedure may be performed.

  • Publication number: 20140307614
Abstract: Data overhead of mesh-based multicast ad hoc routing protocols are controlled by adaptively adding redundancy to the minimal data overhead multicast mesh as required by the network conditions. The computation of the minimal data overhead multicast mesh is NP-complete, and therefore an heuristic approximation algorithm inspired on epidemic algorithms is employed to increase tractability of a solution. A mobility-aware and adaptive mesh construction algorithm based on a probabilistic path selection is provided, which is able to adapt the reliability of the multicast mesh to the mobility of the network. Simulation results show that the proposed approach, when implemented into On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP), is able to offer similar performance results and a lower average latency, while reducing data overhead between 25 to 50% compared to the original ODMRP.

  • Publication number: 20140189983
Abstract: A golf glove magnetic attachment adaptor has a magnetic body and a male snap stud. The magnetic body includes a magnet and a magnet casing; the magnet casing having an end wall, a lateral wall, and an end cap. The magnet is positioned within the magnet casing and allows the golf glove magnetic attachment adaptor to be attached to any substantially ferrous metal object. The male snap stud is centrally connected to the magnet casing opposite the magnet and allows the golf glove magnetic attachment adaptor to be attached to a female snap socket of a golf glove. In turn, the golf glove can be attached to any desired metal object. The golf glove magnetic attachment adaptor also functions as a ball marker when detached from the golf glove by depressing the male snap stud into the ground in order to anchor the magnetic body in place.
