Abstract: Gear pump, or Moineau pump, comprising two helical gears one inside the other, the internal helical gear, which is rotary (the rotor) having one tooth fewer than the external helical gear, which is stationary (the stator), characterized in that the rotor and the stator are made of respective materials which have respective coefficients of thermal expansion which lead to respective expansions of the rotor and of the stator which are such that an approximately constant clearance is maintained between the rotor and the stator over a range of ambient temperatures spanning between about 15.degree. C. and about 300.degree. C.
Abstract: A packaging apparatus and process for producing and using the same is provided having a tubular lining material defining a hollow-space therein with the lining material being folded outwardly over itself providing a chamber in which a casing material is positioned circumferentially over an inner layer of the lining material.

Abstract: The first component (1) has a female part, and the second (21) a male part. The female part comprises an axial bore (3) containing a tie (4), one of the ends of which is designed to constitute the female part of a bayonet-type fitting. The tie also comprises a transverse passage (5) through which there passes a spindle equipped with two journals housed in two transverse holes in the first component (1). Between the two journals and in the portion to be found inside the passage (5) of the tie (4) there is a cam (12). The male part of the second component (21) comprises one end (24) designed to constitute the male part of the bayonet-type fitting which, together with the female part (6) of the tie (4), axially fastens the two components (1, 21), and a journal (23) of diameter matching the diameter of the bore (3). The spindle is equipped to be turned in order to obtain clamping and release of the two components (1, 21) through the action of the cam (12) on the walls of the transverse passage (5).

Abstract: Diasphragm pump having a delivery rate which can be continuously adjusted between a zero value and a maximum value, comprising:a continuously rotating eccentric drive member (6);a connecting rod (5) with a connecting-rod big end (11-14) fitted with a bearing (10) receiving, so as to rotate freely, the member (6) and the other end of which is coupled to a central area of the diaphragm (2);releasable coupling means in order to couple, in a selective manner, the connecting-rod big end to the member (6) during a desired fraction of stroke, which can be continuously adjusted by adjustment means (16-19).
Abstract: A vehicle recovery unit is disclosed comprising a first boom (9) which is pivotally mountable on the fifth wheel (6) of a tractor unit (1), beneath which first boom (9) is pivotally mounted a second boom (11). The second boom (11) is pivotally moveable with respect to first boom (9) by a piston and cylinder arrangement (13). The second boom (11) may be secured to a vehicle to be recovered (3) by a locking pin (25) a chain under tension (26) and a load bearing member (27) so that the second boom (11) is rigidly secured to the lorry (3). When in use, the attachment of the recovery unit (2) to the lorry (3) is rigid and the combined lorry (3) and vehicle recovery unit (2) are pivotable only about the fifth wheel (6) of the tractor unit (1). The vehicle recovery unit (2) is free standing by legs (20) so that the tractor unit (1) may be detached from the recovery unit (2) and driven away to leave the recovery unit (2) free standing.
