Each arm assembly includes at least one arm having a first end operatively coupled to the surface mount and a second end operatively coupled to the movable mount, wherein the second end is movable relative to the first end to move the movable mount relative to the surface mount in a first direction. Each device mount is configured to support a display device and is operatively coupled to the movable mount, such that each device mount is movable in a second direction.

Abstract: A system for mounting a flat panel television or display to a surface such as a wall. A base plate is configured to operatively connect to a surface, while an adapter plate is configured to operatively connect to a display device. A plurality of connecting arms are used to operatively connect the base plate to the adapter plate. Each of the plurality of connecting arms includes a base plate engagement portion slidably engageable with slots in the base plate and an adapter plate engagement portion operatively connected to the adapter plate. Movement of the base plate engagement portions within the base plate's slots results in a translational movement of the adapter plate relative to the base plate.

Abstract: An improved mounting bracket that provides an indication to an installer when a mount is not correctly aligned. The mounting bracket comprises a mounting contact portion and at least one side portion integrally connected to the mounting contact portion, with the at least one side portion defining a receiving region for accepting one or more retaining portions of a mount. The at least one side portion includes a first ramped surface at least partially outside of the receiving region. The first ramped surface configured to contact a retaining portion when the retaining portion is misaligned with the receiving region, thereby informing an installer of the misalignment.

Abstract: A wireless audio distribution system for wirelessly transmitting audio from a wireless transmitter to one or more speakers located remotely from the transmitter. A number of channels of audio are acoustically connected to a wireless transmitter unit. The wireless transmitter unit is configured for potential placement within a standard audio/video equipment rack, without the wireless audio signals suffering from substantial degradation resulting from such placement. The channels of audio are at least selectively transmitted wirelessly to an amplifier/receiver module located on a wall, contained within a wall or positioned within a ceiling. In the situation where the amplifier/receiver module is recessed within the wall, a low profile cover is attached to the wall, concealing the amplifier/receiver unit from view. A modular design method is utilized, allowing for the altering of pre-installed products at a later date. Components may be selected from across multiple product lines.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for attaching and supporting an audio/visual device. The mounting assembly includes a frame including at least one cross member, at least one side member, and a moving member; and a support assembly including a pair of spaced apart first members and a pair of spaced apart second members.
