Patents Assigned to Peerless Industries
  • Patent number: 8186637
Abstract: A mounting system configured to provide a plurality of image adjustments for a media device mounted thereon. A lower adapter plate is operatively connected to a media device top surface, the lower adapter plate being adjustably connected to an upper adapter plate. A support arm assembly is selectively coupled at a first end thereof to the upper adapter plate. A second end of the support arm assembly is coupled to a support bracket assembly that is configured to be adjustably mounted to a support structure. A plurality of adjustment mechanisms are secured to the adapter plate assembly at an upper adapter plate top surface, whereby operation of the adjustment mechanisms results in a corresponding movement of the media device.

  • Patent number: 8157233
Abstract: An improved adjustable mounting system for mounting a flat panel display to a surface. A mounting bracket is configured to attach to the surface, while an adapter bracket is operatively connected to the mounting bracket and is configured to operatively connect to the flat panel display. At least one carrier mechanism operatively connects the mounting bracket and the adapter bracket, the first carrier mechanism positioned with a set of substantially straight guide paths or surfaces to couple the adapter bracket to the mounting bracket. When the flat panel display is operatively connected to the adapter bracket and the mounting bracket is attached to the surface, the flat panel display is generally selectively rotatably positionable about an axis substantially parallel to the surface as a result of the interaction of the first carrier mechanism with the set of substantially straight guide paths or surfaces.

  • Patent number: 8154885
Abstract: A mounting system for use in mounting products such as audio/visual devices to a surface such as a wall. According to various embodiments, one or more surface mounting structures are configured to attach to a surface such as a wall, while one or more device mounting structures are configured to attach to a device such as a flat panel display. Mating “touch” or “burr” fasteners on at least one surface mounting structure and at least one device mounting structure serve to inhibit the movement or rotation of these components relative to each other when the mounting system is in an assembled position.

  • Patent number: 8128049
Abstract: A mounting system for providing resilient mounting of a display device at a defined tilt angle. A surface mounting bracket configured to be attached to a mounting surface includes an engagement member and an engagement lip which are in communication with at least one engagement feature disposed on a display device bracket configured to be attached to a display device such as a flat panel television. The engagement feature, engagement lip, and engagement member are configured such that communication among these features results in an assembly that is resilient to inadvertent physical contact with the display device. The display device bracket is tiltable with respect to the surface mounting bracket, providing a defined tilt angle of the display device. Provision of a plurality of engagement features disposed on the display device bracket offers alternative assembly configurations, each capable of having defined tilt angles.

  • Patent number: 8102483
Abstract: A low profile display enclosure system for enclosing a display device for viewing that protects the display device from environmental effects. The substantially sealed display enclosure comprises a rigid bezel, a substantially transparent front cover coupled to the bezel, and a rear cover assembly that may include a heat sink portion. A liquid organic coating is applied to portions of the display enclosure and cured in place in order to provide a protective surface.

  • Patent number: 8081267
Abstract: A low profile display enclosure system for enclosing a display device for viewing that protects the display device from environmental effects and is configured to dissipate heat generated within the display enclosure. The substantially sealed display enclosure comprises a rigid bezel, a substantially transparent front cover coupled to the bezel, and a rear cover assembly that includes a heat sink portion. The thickness of the bezel is minimized to provide the enclosure with a low profile about the periphery of the display device enclosed therein. Thermal control devices may be mounted within the enclosure to modulate a temperature within the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 8028964
Abstract: A mounting system comprising an incremental angular position and locking system. A tilt bracket is configured to operatively connect to a surface, and an adapter bracket is operatively and movably connected to the tilt bracket, with the adapter bracket being configured to operatively connect to an object such as an audio/video device. A plurality of angular position features are associated with one of the tilt bracket and the adapter bracket, and an angular positioning element is configured to selectively engage at least one of the plurality of angular position features. When the angular positioning element is in engaged with at least one angular position feature, the adapter bracket is impeded from moving relative to the tilt bracket. When the angular positioning element is not in engagement with at least one angular position feature, the adapter bracket is substantially free to move relative to the tilt bracket.

  • Patent number: 7984889
Abstract: A rotatable display mount for mounting a display device at desired rotational orientation. In one set of embodiments, the rotatable display mount comprises a base plate adapted to operatively connect the display mount to a mounting surface, a sprocket plate operatively connected and rotatable in relation to the base plate, the sprocket plate adapted to be operatively connected to the display device, and a latch member selectively engageable with the sprocket plate. Rotational orientation of the display device is established at defined angular orientations by engagement of the sprocket plate with the latch member.
