Abstract: An impact moisture separator for removing entrained liquids from a gas stream includes a plurality of outer vanes, each of the outer vanes oriented in a first direction; and a plurality of inner vanes, each of the inner vanes oriented in a second direction tilted away from the first direction by a specified angle.
Abstract: A vane having a profile capable of formation by pultrusion is disclosed. The vane can be used for removing liquids entrained in a gas stream. The vane includes a main curved section oriented generally parallel to the gas stream and curved to reorient the gas stream, the main curved section causing a first and a second change of direction of the gas stream; a first air pocket formed on a first side of the main curved section, the first air pocket sized and oriented into the gas stream where the gas stream first changes direction; and a second air pocket formed on a second side of the main curved section, the second air pocket smaller than the first air pocket and sized and oriented into the gas stream where the gas stream makes the second direction change.

Abstract: An apparatus and process are disclosed for enhance mixing of a first fluid and an injected fluid. A turbulence edge (18) is formed on an element associated with an injection lance. The turbulence edge can be an edge (18a) of a square tubing lance (16), an angle (24) added to a circular tubing lance (10) or a clip (26) added to the circular tubing lance (10).

Abstract: A monitoring system (10) is disclosed for monitoring the condition of a filter (16) filtering a gas or liquid. Using various sensors, the permeability of the filter is monitored on a continuous basis. A significant increase in permeability, decrease in permeability or rate of change of permeability can lead to an indication of filter failure, such as rupture, leakage, loading and unloading. The system can be monitored by a computer and monitored from a remote location through phone lines and Internet computer systems.
