Abstract: A digital logger system includes a multichannel interface circuit that: 1. concurrently and continuously receives audio telecommunication signals for at least two telephone calls; and 2. continuously transmits linearly encoded digital audio data representing the received audio signals. A Universal Serial Bus (“USB”) hub of the system receives the transmitted digital data for retransmission to a USB root hub. A USB root hub of personal computer (“PC”) receives transmitted digital data, and executes PC software which continuously monitors the digital data for embedded line status and signaling information including a telephone line “going off hook.” When a telephone line goes “off hook,” the software records both: 1. an audio header that stores information about a telephone call; and 2. an audio file that stores compressed digital data for the telephone call.
Abstract: An exhaust chamber system having a rotatable propeller type blade assembly at the entry to an expansion chamber which creates a vortex that swirls exhaust gas towards the outlet. The resultant action within the exhaust chamber aids in scavenging internal combustion engine exhaust gases, and in reducing system back pressure. The exhaust chamber maintains the sound level of the exhaust within acceptable limits while delivering improved horsepower, torque, and/or fuel efficiency over other known conventional mufflers.
Abstract: The present invention provides an exhaust chamber system, comprising a stationary propeller type blade assembly with a nose cone within or adjacent to an expansion chamber, to create a vortex that swirls exhaust gas towards the outlet. The resultant vacuum within the exhaust chamber aids in scavenging an internal combustion engines exhaust gases, and in reducing system back pressure The exhaust chamber maintains the sound level of the exhaust within acceptable limits, while delivering improved horsepower, torque, and/or fuel efficiency over standard and other performance mufflers.
Abstract: A housing structure for improving air flow to the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is claimed. The present invention is a replacement part for a factory-installed mass air flow sensor housing and is designed to allow for larger air flow through the housing through the use of a bypass air passage or calibration tube that reduces air flow as experienced by the mass air flow sensor. The calibration tube reduces air flow across the sensor with a larger bore on its inlet and a restriction in its outlet. The calibration tube is angled to reduce back flow from the engine.
Abstract: A system and method is provided for exchanging data between at least one merchant site and at least one partner site across an interconnected computer network. The at least one merchant site enables a user to conduct a transaction on the merchant site, and employs a merchant database format. The at least one partner site has a link to the at least one merchant site and/or a display of transactional information from the at least one merchant site, and employs a partner database format different than the merchant database format. The display of transactional information of the at least one partner site enables a user to conduct a transaction with the at least one merchant site on the at least one partner site. A clearinghouse site is also provided in communication with the at least one merchant site and the at least one partner site.

Abstract: An optically transparent, ghost-free visual display system that superimposes a virtual image comprising graphical or textual information onto a field of vision. Embodiments of the visual display system utilize illumination and optical components that introduce a virtual image onto a field of vision while minimally obstructing and/or attenuating other objects within the field of vision. Embodiments of the visual display system can be used in numerous applications, including head-up displays (“HUDs”) for automotive, tracked and rail-mounted vehicles, marine, aerospace applications, see-through speech prompt displays, and see-through projection displays.

Abstract: Method and apparatus of forming articles includes a press having a pair of opposite platens. An articulated clamping frame is mounted between the platens, each of which are moveable toward and away from the clamping frame. Material to be formed is clamped into the clamping frames and the articulated clamping frame is wrapped around the die as the die forms the material. The formed article is extracted from the die by moving the clamping frame away from the die.
Abstract: An improved apparatus and method for intake air plenum construction for an automobile's internal combustion engine is claimed. The intake air plenum consists of an air inlet flange connected through a chamber to an air outlet flange. The intake air plenum improves upon conventional intake air plenums with a contoured interior chamber that eliminates restrictions and sharp turns. The method improves engine performance by optimizing air flow to the engine with an improved intake air plenum construction.
Abstract: An improved exhaust system for an internal combustion engine generally comprises two expanding megaphones, separated by a dual core annular flow silencing section. The two or split megaphone design facilitates broadening of the time of the negative pressure wave to provide a desirable broad range power output while substantially reducing obnoxious sound output.
Abstract: A locator that can be mounted to an outlet box of a network and connected to a peripheral device. The locator includes a first connector and a second connector that are attached to a housing. The locator also includes a circuit that can transmit a stored physical address data to the network. The stored physical address data corresponds to a physical location of the outlet box.
Abstract: A downhole mud motor (100) is disclosed which has an improved bearing mandrel (107) and a bearing stop (105) to transfer a larger percentage of the weight of a drill string to the bit. Also improved sealing systems (113) (114) (220) (515(706) for the transmission section and bearing section (116) (310) (117) (118) (119) prevent drilling mud from entering critical components. A piston stop is provided to prevent the piston from damaging other parts as the piston moves under pressure. Compensating pressure assembly (204) preferably including a disk (1408) is placed in the lower housing (108) to prevent pressure from building up in the bearing section (308). A combination of grooved ball seats (130) and circumferentially spaced balls (127) are provided in the transmission section (200) (207) to allow for greater flow of lubricant around the ball bearings.
