Abstract: Method and system arranged for obtaining an electronic 3D model of a 3D object to be fabricated. Abstract: Methods for spraying a coating composition, with or without a fire retardant, onto a wood product, and wood products produced by the methods are disclosed. The method comprises a two-component system comprising (i) one or more aliphatic isocyanate compounds; and (ii) one or more aliphatic amine compounds, and, optionally, one or more fire retardants which are stored separately and combined in a spray gun to form a mixture which is then sprayed onto the wood product to form an external coating on one or more surfaces of the wood product. Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for treating wood to give it a desirable color that is durable over time, while at the same time rendering the wood resistant to fungal decay and insect attack. The wood may be pressure treated in a two-step process whereby the wood is first treated with a wood preservation composition, and then treated with a composition comprising pigments, or vice versa. Alternatively, the wood may be simultaneously treated with a composition comprising a wood preservative and a composition comprising pigments.
Abstract: Nerve stimulation devices and methods for performing non-invasive nerve stimulation are provided that are particularly well suited for performing non-invasive stimulation of one or both of the great auricular nerve and auricular branch of the vagus nerve through a target nerve junction in the neck of the subject. The nerve stimulation devices use dry electrolyte electrodes that (1) are comfortable to use, (2) suitable for long-term use, (3) avoid delivering painful shocks to the subject, (4) do not require soaking of the electrodes in saline solutions or covering them in sticky or wet gels, (5) do not require skin preparation, and (6) avoid causing muscle contraction in areas outside of the target nerve junction containing the great auricular nerve and the auricular branch of the vagus nerve during use.
