Abstract: A retractable wall mounted weightlifting bench system for that is extended outwardly from the wall when in use and retracted towards the wall when not in use. The retractable wall mounted weightlifting bench system generally includes a mounting bracket adapted to be attached to a wall, a bench pivotally connected to the mounting bracket that has an extended position and a retracted position, a first support member pivotally attached to the bench and a second support member pivotally attached to the bench. The first surface of the bench is horizontal or inclined when in the extended position to be used as a weightlifting bench. The first surface of the bench is in a substantially vertical position when in the retracted position for compact storage of the bench near the wall.
Abstract: A method of removing organic carbon and other contaminants from a water stream. The method comprises screening large solids from the stream. Pre-oxidation chemicals may then be added. A coagulant is fed into the stream. An activated carbon, preferably formed from lignite, is added by pumping a highly concentrated activated carbon slurry into the stream. The stream, including the activated carbon and coagulant, next flows into a clarifier, where the coagulant will flocculate and enmesh the activated carbon. The activated carbon adsorbs organic carbon and other contaminants, including bacteria, pharmacological agents, and hydrocarbons, as the stream flows through the clarifier. Eventually, the flocculate will agglomerate and settle out in the clarifier, where it, the enmeshed carbon, and the contaminants they contain may be removed. The stream's organic carbon content exiting the clarifier will be much reduced. Accordingly, less primary oxidizing agent will be needed to treat any remaining organic carbon.

Abstract: A secondary window includes a first glazing, a film, and a first frame. The first glazing includes a glass substrate having a thickness, between a first glazing surface opposite a second glazing surface, less than 2.0 millimeters. The film is attached to the first glazing surface. The first glazing is secured in the first frame, which at least partially surrounds the glazing. A second secondary window includes a second glazing secured in a second frame, which at least partially surrounds the second glazing. The second glazing includes (a) a first pane having a first-pane thickness less than 2.0 millimeters and (b) a second pane having a second-pane thickness that exceeds the first-pane thickness.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of organomonosilanes, in particular, bearing both hydrogen and chlorine substituents at the silicon atom by subjecting a silane substrate comprising one or more organomonosilanes, with the proviso that at least one of these silanes has at least one chlorine substituent at the silicon atom, to the reaction with one or more metal hydrides selected from the group of an alkali metal hydride and an alkaline earth metal hydride in the presence of one or more compounds (C) acting as a redistribution catalyst.

Abstract: A data management system includes a data storage device, a buffer memory, and a controller. The buffer memory is configured to temporally store data read during a reading operation of the data storage device. The controller is configured to, after transmitting a data input/output (I/O) instruction to the data storage device upon an indication of a data reading request, allocate the buffer memory, register a buffer cache of the buffer memory, allocate a direct memory access (DMA) address for the buffer memory, and release the DMA address.

Abstract: An electric motor or generator assembly includes a stator, a housing, and an annular member fit between the stator and the housing, where the annular member is radially compressed so as to exert a radial force outward onto the housing and inward onto the stator to maintain a positional relationship therebetween.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a high-pressure bi-directional sealing system having circumferentially extending outer support rings (1520, 1900), annular, axial seals (1600, 1800) between the outer support rings (1520, 1900) and a circumferentially extending inner support ring (1700) located between the annular, axial seals (1600, 1800). The outer support rings (1520, 1900), seals (1600, 1800), and circumferentially extending inner support ring (1700) are located within a space between an outer tube (1502) and an inner tube (1504) that is telescopically disposed within the outer tube (1502). Seals (1600) and (1800) are oriented in opposite directions. Specifically, the opening of seal (1600) is facing in a first direction and the opening of seal (1800) is facing in a second direction that is opposite the first direction. This configuration enables the high-pressure bi-directional sealing system to handle pressure in both directions.
