Abstract: Disclosed is a milk frothing apparatus comprising a drive unit (10) which drives a shaft (30). An elongate, flexible, bent frothing element (40) that has an adjustable shape which preferably adjusts to the surface of the liquid to be frothed during operation is connected to the shaft. In a particular embodiment, the frothing element is designed as a flexible helical coil. In addition, another frothing element (32) can be provided at the lower end of the shaft.
Abstract: A double-walled vessel (1) is disclosed, which has a pressure equalization opening (24). Said opening is closed by a stopper (4), which has at least one gas passage channel (41). Said channel is configured such that it allows air to pass, while it prevents the penetration of water into the intermediate space. The stopper is preferably made from a silicone-based plastic and fastened to the vessel by means of an adhesive based on acetoxy silicone. For fastening purposes, it may comprise a disk-like fastening flange (43).
Abstract: An apparatus for frothing a liquid food product is disclosed. It comprises a drive unit (1) and a frothing unit (3). The frothing unit (3) comprises a guide rod (30), which is configured along at least one section as a threaded rod (31). A frothing element (40) is in threaded engagement with the guide rod (30) and can thus be moved along a helical path on the guide rod (30). At least one dog (36, 36?) is driven by the drive unit (1) in a circular motion about the longitudinal axis of the guide rod (30) and in the process entrains the frothing element (40) such that said element is driven to perform a helical motion on the guide rod (30). In this way, the frothing element can perform an up and down motion superimposed on the rotational motion thereof along the longitudinal direction.
Abstract: Disclosed is a bar lighter comprising a novel safety mechanism for securing the bar lighter from being accidentally actuated. A safety lever (4) is pivotally connected to an actuating element (2) which can be moved relative to a housing between a starting position and an actuating position. Said safety lever (4) is preloaded so as to be pressed into a locking position in which the safety lever (4) engages with a locking element (15) that cannot be moved relative to the housing, thus preventing the actuating element (2) from moving from the starting position into the actuating position. A releasing mechanism (3) is provided which presses the safety lever (4) into a releasing position when being actuated so as to release the actuating element (2).
Abstract: The invention relates to a plunger-filter beverage preparation device of the French press coffee maker variety, incorporating a glass vessel (10). In order to prevent glass splinters from flying about in an uncontrolled manner in the event of a breakage of the glass, the glass 23 vessel is surrounded by a retainer (2). Said retainer (2) consists of a bottom section (21) with a lower ring (26), an upper ring (22), and a narrow-mesh (24) extending between them. The retainer preferably expands in diameter from top to bottom.
