Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a presentation virtualization service to a user terminal through a web based on system profile information received from a cloud device through a communication network in which the cloud device generates a list of candidate presentation virtualization technologies from the system profile information and provides a presentation virtualization service to the user terminal which uses a presentation virtualization technology based on a determination of the capability of processing each virtualization technology from the device load and outputs data related to the presentation virtualization service on a screen. The system comprises: a user terminal for transmitting system profile information to a cloud device which generates the list of candidate presentation virtualization technologies from the system profile information, and determines a device load to provide the presentation virtualization service.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for measuring a location of a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader by using beacons, and an RFID system for measuring a location of a moving RFID reader in an RFID system comprising: a plurality of beacon devices for emitting beacons; an RFID tag for transmitting pre-stored information by using radio frequency identification; and an RFID reader for calculating a current location using a plurality of at least three beacons wherein the RFID reader receives the plurality of beacons from the plurality of beacon devices while moving, and receiving the information from the RFID tag by using the radio frequency identification. According to the present invention, it is possible to increase the accuracy of the location measurement of a moving RFID reader in an RFID system because the location of the RFID reader is measured in consideration of propagation environments.

Abstract: Disclosed all an apparatus and a method for constructing a verb phrase translation pattern using a bilingual parallel corpus which recognizes a predicate and an argument using a syntax analysis result and a word alignment result of a source sentence from a plurality of bilingual parallel corpus, extracts a translation pattern candidate and an occurrence frequency using the recognized predicate and argument, and then generates a basic verb phrase translation pattern by verifying the translation pattern candidate, and generalizes the generated basic verb phrase translation pattern to generate a general verb phrase pattern so as to be applied to various language pairs and minimize an error in the verb phrase translation pattern and determine an appropriate generalization level using a co-occurrence frequency of a predicate and an argument of the verb phrase translation pattern and a translation probability of the predicate.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for deciding an encoding mode are disclosed. The encoding mode decision apparatus comprises a temporal complexity calculator to calculate a temporal complexity of a macroblock and a mode decider to elect the encoding mode utilizing the temporal complexity. The disclosure calculates the temporal and spatial complexes for the macroblocks more accurately as well as elects the optimal encoding mode using the same resulting in a reduction of the calculation complexity when applying the rate-distortion technique along with an improvement of its processing speed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to cloud service supporting technology. Particularly, a cloud service system based on an enhanced security function includes a terminal that includes a trusted platform therein and is configured to perform security authentication based on encrypted information provided by the trusted platform, to perform normal authentication based on preregistered ID and password information, and to use a cloud service according to the security authentication and the normal authentication, and a cloud service apparatus that is configured to provide the cloud service to the terminal after completing the security authentication and the normal authentication with the terminal that includes the trusted platform therein. Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for interfacing between a terminal and a smart card, and a smart card applied to the same. In other words, by presenting the configuration including a terminal equipped with several device resources requested for interworking during the execution of the service applications stored in a smart card, and a Universal Subscriber Identification Module (USIM), and a smart card to prepare the selective execution of the application considering the service supportable terminal based on a device resource list created by the terminal, it is possible to provide suitable services to the terminal performance considering the difference in the mounted terminal model and manufacturer due to the selective executability according to the device resources with which the terminal is equipped with a number of service applications stored in the smart card.

Abstract: Disclosed are a smart card-based browsing system, a smart card-based browsing method, and smart card for the same. A browser is installed in the smart card to form a direct connection path with an SCWS installed in the smart card. The number of sockets for HTTP request/response required to be as many as the number of contents for services between the smart card and the user terminal is reduced, so that the services can be smoothly provided through a rapid and effective interface. A web service can be provided to various multimedia appliances compatible with the smart card regardless of the existence of the browser on the user terminal and the type and version of the browser.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method, a system, and a recording medium for collecting content usage information. The method includes the steps of transmitting a usage tracking report message from a DCD client of the terminal to the DCD server; and receiving the usage tracking report message in the DCD server. The usage tracking report message includes first information for identifying a corresponding session, second information including a transaction identifier, third information for identifying a corresponding application, and fourth information including content usage information. Advantageously, the DCD server collects content usage information so that users are provided with highly-preferred contents. The fact that the DCD server collects content usage information and transmits no contents unnecessary to users avoids wasting the network bandwidth and improves content delivery efficiency of the terminals, CP, and DCD server.

Abstract: A method and system for measuring a transmission bandwidth which includes: a server for transmitting packets of multimedia data to a receiving apparatus, receiving a time stamp from the receiving apparatus, calculating a transmission bandwidth in real time from the received time stamp, and streaming the multimedia data to the receiving apparatus in accordance with the calculated transmission bandwidth; with the receiving apparatus receiving packets of the multimedia data from the server, recording received time stamp for each of received packets, and transmitting the received time stamp to the server by a predetermined cycle. According to the present invention, transmission bandwidth is measured using data actually transmitted and that streaming of media is suited to a transmission bandwidth to meet QoS (Quality of Service) requirements.

The method includes the steps of (a) designating a part of the media as a first receiving area by the server and transmitting it to the user equipment; (b) changing a playback area, in which the media are played, according to the motion of the user equipment and playing a part of the media; and (c) requesting by the user equipment that the server provide a second receiving area, which is a part of the media including the playback area, when the playback area is outside the first receiving area of the media, receiving the second receiving area, and playing the media. When media stored in the server are to be played initially, it is unnecessary to download the entire media, so that the user equipment can play the media more efficiently.
