  • Patent number: 4482662
Abstract: An aerosol paint system is provided under sprayable pressures in a pre-packaged container adapted for instant spray application. The paint composition comprises a water-soluble monomer modified alkyd resin binder composition having a low molecular weight less than about 10,000 and an acid value (before neutralization) of above about 30 and preferably less than about 80. The product is diluted so that it is in a ready-to-use form when purchased. The paint system may be pigmented or non-pigmented (as for use in clear transparent coatings). Spray coatings of this invention deposit continuous films from pressurized containers at will.

  • Patent number: 4467052
Abstract: A plastic tray for packaging food products is disclosed. The tray has a preferred composition of about 85 percent polypropylene, 15 percent impact modifier or copolymer, 1 percent nucleating agent, and 1 percent density reduction agents.A method of manufacturing a plastic tray of packaging food products is disclosed. The method includes the steps of mixing the polypropylene, impact modifier, nucleating agent and density reduction agents together, heating the mixture at 450.degree. F. to 550.degree. F. under a pressure of about 300 p.s.i., injecting the heated mixture into a mold, and cooling the mixture.

  • Patent number: 4420575
Abstract: An aerosol paint system under sprayable pressures in the container is provided comprising two film-forming polymeric binders. One of the two being monomer modified alkyd resin of relatively low molecular weight having an acid value (before neutralization with selected bases) of about 40 to 80 and the second polymeric binder of water-reducible nature being an emulsion polymer latex of high molecular weight, but capable of forming a continuous film in the total aerosol paint system aided by the monomer modified alkyd and a selection from co-solvents including in a first group low molecular weight alcohols, ketones, and esters and in a second group the co-solvents illustrated by the Cellosolves, Cellosolve acetates and other esters and the Carbitols as to chemical class.Pressures essential to spray application are principally provided by dimethyl ether and closely related ethers as a class.

  • Patent number: 4146131
Abstract: A holder is provided for the tools of a food processing machine, the tools being of the kind which have stems that can be driven by a food processor motor, with cutting or other active elements radial to the stems. The holder includes a plurality of panels with spaces between the panels to accommodate the active elements of the tools, and with slots which extend inwardly from edges of the panels and along which the stems can slide to positions where the active elements do not protrude beyond the edges of the panels.

  • Patent number: 4024979
Abstract: A handling element for a container such as a cylindrical drum to permit manipulation of the container by conventional handling equipment. The handling element is secured within a groove or ridge formed in the container and is situated at a position to allow the handling equipment to contact the ring and lift and otherwise manipulate the container. The element includes a lower support surface and an upper lateral surface to operatively cooperate with conventional equipment for manipulation.
