The phase composition may include an amorphous silicate, quartz and mullite.
Abstract: The presently disclosed embodiments relate to the utilization of coal-derived fine mineral matter in chemical recycling of plastics or of solid mixed plastic waste. The instantly disclosed mineral based catalyst benefits the processes of catalytic cracking, gasification and steam reforming to maximize carbon utilization and production of plastics of original quality from recycled or renewable feedstocks while reducing the plastic pollution in the environment. The catalyst can be based on inorganic fine mineral matter, a natural ancient mineral mixture found in coal deposits and containing a plurality of transition metals, such as iron, copper, and manganese, as well as calcium, barium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, which can act as co-catalysts. Addition of the catalyst can convert plastic to syngas at a faction of the energy of conventional technologies.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for a multisensory examination jar for botanical specimens. Embodiments of the disclosed jar may have a body portion with an integrated LED array for illuminating the contents of the jar. The jar may have a removable lid with an integrated magnifying lens, and an opening or port to enable a user to smell the contents of the jar. The opening may have a removable plug to establish a substantially air tight seal on the lid of the jar, to trap odors within the jar. The removable plug can be selectively removed to enable the user to smell the contents of the jar. The jar may have an electronics module and power source operable for wireless charging. The jar may also be configured to interface with a charging dock or base for wireless charging of integrated batteries.

Abstract: A shipping container comprising a basket, a plurality of feet, and a plurality of removable corner columns. In some embodiments, the shipping container comprises a basket, a plurality of feet, and a plurality of foot pads. Further embodiments include foot pads with drill release locks.
Abstract: A particulate material having a body including a dopant contained in the body, the dopant is non-homogenously distributed throughout the body and the body has a maximum normalized dopant content difference of at least 35%.
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments describe a novel approach to the utilization of the fine mineral matter derived from coal and/or coal refuse (a by-product of coal refining) to convert a non-biodegradable plastic into a biodegradable plastic. The fine mineral matter could also be based on volcanic basalt, glacial rock dust deposits, iron potassium silicate and other sea shore mined deposits. The conversion of the non-biodegradable plastic into biodegradable plastic in soil further increases nutrients availability in soil with the transition metals released as a result of biodegradation of the biodegradable plastic.
Abstract: A method of forming a batch of shaped adsorbent particles may include applying a precursor mixture into a shaping assembly within an application zone to form a batch of precursor shaped adsorbent particles, drying the batch of precursor shaped adsorbent particles within the shaping assembly to form the batch of shaped adsorbent particles, and ejecting the batch of shaped adsorbent particles from the shaping assembly. The batch of shaped adsorbent particles may have a moisture content of at least about 20 wt. %.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing dioxolane by reacting ethylene glycol with an aqueous solution of formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst. The raw product comprising water, dioxolane and methanol is fed to a phase separation unit (20) wherein an organic extracting agent is present. An organic fraction stream from the phase separation unit is transferred to an upper part of a purification column (30) from which dioxolane is withdrawn as a bottom product while the distillate stream of the purification column is recycled to the phase separation unit.
