Abstract: Porous leach pipe and method for leaching metals from mining ores. The porous pipe may be buried beneath the surface of a pile of mined ore, providing a more even and uniform distribution of the leaching solution across the pile, increasing metal yields, reducing water consumption and eliminating pooling and ponding of the solution on the top of the piles as occurs with prior art drip line emitters.
Abstract: Dispenser or vial pump, including a valve assembly (3) and a tube (4) that is fixed with one extremity to a nipple (6) of the valve assembly (3). The nipple (6) and tube (4) are in contact with each other with their respective contact surfaces (7, 8), at least one of the contact surfaces (7, 8) is provided with a roughness (9) in order to decrease the friction between the nipple (6) and the tube (4) during assembly.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aeration device for use in a liquid medium. The device includes a housing adapted to float within the medium such that a top portion thereof remains above a top surface of the medium. The housing has a bottom portion and an open side portion. The device further includes a hose affixed to the bottom portion of the housing substantially parallel to the surface of the liquid medium. The hose has a wall with a plurality of pores formed therein. The device further includes a gas-supplying pipe affixed to the hose and means for supplying a gas to the pipe such that the gas passes through the pipe and into the hose.

Abstract: Coupling assembly for use in conduits or tubing holding a pressurized liquid, such as a garden hose. The structure provided facilitates uncoupling of male and female fittings in such an assembly which substantially reduces the uncontrolled release of pressure in the system such that the pressurized liquid will not flow uncontrollably from the assembly during decoupling. Methods are provided for making and using such components that result in one or more of an ease of manufacture, reduced material costs, reduced machining costs, and/or ease of use.
Abstract: An aeration device or diffuser is disclosed. The diffuser preferably includes a porous hose adapted to allow gas to escape therefrom, a rigid element disposed within the hose, the rigid element being constructed of material denser than water and a fitting suitable for attaching the hose to an air supply, the fitting disposed within the hose at one end of the hose. Methods of use of the diffuser and of assembling the diffuser are also disclosed.

Abstract: A two-compartment container has a lid portion and a base portion hingedly connected to one another and openable and closable in the manner of a clamshell. Both the lid portion and the base portion have partitions, which extend from the hinge and which are aligned with one another. When the container is closed, the partitions abut against one another, effectively isolating the two compartments formed in the base portion by its partition from one another. The base portion includes a locking flap which fits into a gap between the partition in the lid portion and its face and seals it to further isolate the two compartments from one another.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically accessing a WWW page is provided for realizing a function of automatically jumping to a desired page to automatically download desired data in spite of intervening pages which require a user to enter information, and a function of dealing with a change in configuration of an accessed page. In a web browser, a list structure is created for each displayed window, and all nodes under HTML displayed in a window corresponding to the list structure are copied and stored as node information. Further, when an event occurs with respect to an arbitrary node within a window, an address and event type of the node are recorded in the stored node information corresponding to the node. The record is comprised of a sequence of records of an event occurrence address and event type by using URL and window identifier as keys.

Abstract: A user operation log storing apparatus for investigating operations performed by a user, types of data handled by the user and contents of processing conducted by the user, and for saving acquired information through the investigation. The present invention provides a group of objects (VOs) for a user to access the WWW, database, etc. and conduct communications and for a service provider to readily compare and analyze acquired data. The VOs respectively hold as a log file an attribute thereof, results of user actions and an attribute value of a slot via which the VOs exchange data. The log files are sent to the server on the network, where they are classified according to users and stored in a time-series manner. Using the saved log file, the present invention also provides an environment as a VO for analyzing and utilizing the user's operation log.

Abstract: A system for constructing, in a storage device of a computer, data expressing a document to be revised as an XML document, in which a volume, a chapter, a clause, an item, a section, a sub-section, a paragraph and the like of the document to be revised are expressed as a tree structure is provided. An element corresponding to a branch node of tree structured data is assigned a set of a unique revision ID and an attribute representing a type of the revisions written in a list structure every time a revision is made and the element prior to the revision is saved so that a revision operation of the element is performed using the information.
