Abstract: A suspension loop for a portion pack, consisting of a tubular sleeve, sealed on its ends by clips, in particular sausages, is attached to the end of a tubular sleeve drawn together to form a string of sausages by a twist knot formed from the suspension loop. The suspension loop, kept ready, clamped in rectangular shape, is pulled through the loop around the string with the aid of a swivelable looping finger. The device suitable for this additionally has a holding fork and a movable clamping fork, both of which are two-pronged. The device can be swiveled into the sealing device when the tubular sleeve is sealed with clips.

Abstract: A system having a sausage and filling clipping machine and a sausage conveyor apparatus as well as a method of controlling the system is described. In the system the sausage filling and clipping machine has a filling pipe. The motor-driven sausage conveyor apparatus includes at least one conveyor element and is arranged downstream of the filling pipe of the sausage filling and clipping machine in the advance direction of the sausage. It is further provided that the sausage conveyor apparatus is formed by a chain link conveyor and is arranged immediately adjacent to the filling pipe of the sausage filling and clipping machine in such a way that a sausage product which is filled at the filling pipe of the sausage filling and clipping machine and closed can be engaged by the at least one conveyor element of the chain link conveyor.

Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for controlled closure of at least one clip around a filling material-free plait portion of a tubular casing at a filling material portion enclosed by the casing, where the at least one clip is closed with at least one closure device and where the filling material portion is successively filled with a moved product flow of the filling material and in that operation the casing is withdrawn from a casing supply device, and where moreover the withdrawal movement of the casing is sensed with a sensing device and a control signal is formed therefrom for the joint movement of the at least one closure device with the product flow.

Abstract: A filling device and associated method for filling viscous filling material, in particular sealants, into a tubular casing material. The filling device comprises: a shutoff valve, a filling tube disposed downstream from the shutoff valve in the direction of flow of the filling material, a clip placement and clip closing device disposed downstream from the filling tube in the direction of flow of the filling material and a supply of tubular casing material disposed at least partially on the filling tube. At least one sensor is also provided for directly or indirectly measuring the length of casing material drawn from the supply of casing material, the output signal of the sensor being able to control at least the closing of the shutoff valve through which the pressurized filling material can be fed to the filling tube.
