  • Patent number: 10550933
Abstract: A hydraulic system that has a hydraulic pump connected to and in communication with a hydraulic motor, at least one hydraulic cylinder, or both by a first conduit and a second conduit (i.e., a high side and a low side). The hydraulic system has a bypass valve connected to and in communication with the first conduit and the second conduit. The bypass valve has a preset pressure that is above a minimum low side pressure. When a shock load occurs in the hydraulic system and a related drop in pressure on the low side occurs, the bypass valve opens when the preset pressure is passed thereby preventing the pressure from dropping to the minimum low side pressure. The hydraulic system thereby avoids a low loop event that could cause damage to the hydraulic system without the presence of larger charge pumps or accumulators.

  • Patent number: 10466280
Abstract: A method of detecting the presence of a hazardous foreign voltage on a conductor includes the steps of sensing an electric field in the vicinity of the conductor with a first non-contact conductive sensor and sensing the electric field in the vicinity of the conductor with a second non-contact conductive sensor spaced a predetermined distance from the first non-contact conductive sensor. The difference between the electric field sensed by the first conductive sensor and the electric field sensed by the second conductive sensor is determined. The first conductive sensor preferably is shaped as a truncated spheroid. If the difference is less than a predetermined threshold, the sensed electric field is ignored as being induced by a distant source. If the difference is greater than a predetermined threshold, the electric field sensed by the first and second conductive sensors is considered to be indicative of the presence of a foreign voltage on the conductor.

  • Patent number: 10385880
Abstract: A hydraulic unit includes a driving mechanism whose displacement volume is adjustable to two operational states by means of a position-able adjustment element. The adjustment element can be positioned by a servo piston of a servo unit into a first, initial position and a second, operative position. A first front face and a second front face of the servo piston, which are opposing each other, can be pressurized individually with pressurized hydraulic fluid in order to position the servo piston at either end position of a servo cylinder of the servo unit. The servo piston is of a stepped design thereby forming a ring-shaped damping surface opposing the first front face. In the servo cylinder a ring-shaped shoulder surface is formed opposing the damping surface such that a damping volume is formed in the servo cylinder by the damping surface, the shoulder surface and the servo cylinder.

  • Patent number: 10250249
Abstract: A circuit and method are provided for recuperating energy and decreasing driver power consumption in a switching converter. An inductor is directly connected between a gate driver and a gate electrode of a switch. A first burst pulse signal is generated, wherein energy from a power source is stored in the inductor and transferred to a parasitic capacitance of the switch. A driving pulse signal is subsequently generated to the gate electrode of the switch, wherein the gate voltage is equal to the supply voltage and no balancing current flows through the inductor. After the driving pulse signal is terminated a second burst pulse signal is generated, wherein energy is accumulated in the inductive element and returned to the power source. The energy provided from the power source during the first burst pulse signal is equal to the energy returned to the power source during the second burst pulse signal.
