Patents Assigned to Precision Dynamic, Corporation
  • Publication number: 20180174496
Abstract: The present disclosure describes various example multi-layer printing sheets, and systems and methods for manufacturing the same. An example printing sheet comprises: a die-cut or perforated printable film portion; an adhesive layer; a clear ink layer; and a bottom layer. The printable film portion may be die-cut or perforated to form a band shape. A release layer may be placed between the adhesive layer and the bottom layer or the adhesive layer and the clear ink layer. A portion of the printing sheet may include a die cut printable paper portion; the printable paper portion comprises a printable paper layer includes one or more labels die cut into it; and the printable paper layer is connected to the bottom layer via an adhesive. A release may be placed between the adhesive layer and the bottom layer of the printable paper portion.

  • Patent number: 9275559
Abstract: An identification medium is optimized for displaying visible and excitable indicia. The medium includes a substrate having a color change layer, such as a direct thermal layer, and a patterned excitable layer placed over the color change layer. The color change layer produces the visible indicia. The excitable layer produces the excitable indicia. The excitable indicia is not easily readable under ambient light but becomes more easily readable under directed radiation, i.e., UV or IR light.

  • Patent number: 8840978
Abstract: An identification device, preferably a wristband or adhesive label, is configured to receive identifying indicia by means of a direct thermal printer. A direct thermal layer includes antimicrobial particles embedded therein and is exposed, i.e., does not have a protective overcoat or varnish covering the direct thermal layer. The antimicrobial particles increase the surface available silver ions and are preferably formed of an aqueous dispersion of silver chloride-coated titanium dioxide particles. The antimicrobial particles may also be formed of an inorganic silver-containing compound such as silver zirconium phosphates or a silver substituted zeolite.

  • Patent number: 8495829
Abstract: A printable wristband form includes a plurality of wristbands cut into a multi-layer sheet of the form. Each wristband includes a release tab formed at an end thereof. A release liner is disposed between layers of the sheet in a single region defined by the release tabs. The form preferably includes adult sized wristbands and infant sized wristbands arranged on the same sheet for use in hospital maternity settings.

  • Patent number: 8296982
Abstract: An improved identification band such as a wristband is provided with preprinted adhesive labels having a correlated unique identification code on the identification band and each of the labels. A label portion is separable from the wristband portion such that the wristband may be applied to a person or object to be identified. The label portion may be affixed to a specimen vial or other object to be identified as having a correlation with the person or object wearing the wristband. Individual labels are separable from the label portion, and the band portion in certain embodiments, so as to be applicable to other objects to be correlated to the person or object.

  • Patent number: 8237561
Abstract: An improved radio frequency identification (RFID) tag and related reader system and process are provided, wherein the RFID tag includes an on-board battery for enhanced signal transmission range, relatively rapid signal transmission speed, and optimized completion of a data transaction between the tag and a reader. The RFID tag further includes a power management system for activating the tag battery on an as-needed basis, and for thereupon enabling limited portions of the tag circuitry as required for a specific communication protocol, thereby conserving battery power and prolonging battery service life. In one preferred form, the battery is integrated with an antenna structure of single or dual mode with respect to frequency or type. This combination battery-antenna may be designed for recharging from a source of ambient energy.

  • Patent number: 8099890
Abstract: A closure mechanism receiving aperture presents a substantially contiguous, uninterrupted planar surface on a flexible medium, primarily for use with identification devices, i.e., wristbands. The aperture does not interrupt the printable area so that printer ink may be printed over the aperture without passing through. The inventive aperture also does not produce waster material or chads which can jam or foul-up a printer. An inventive wristband includes both snap closure and adhesive closure mechanisms that can be used at the same time.

  • Patent number: 8056931
Abstract: A multi-part form includes a wristband with related tags and labels. The tags are configured for mounting on the wristband after the wristband has been secured to a person of object to be identified. The multi-part form is also configured with a wristband portion separate from a plurality of utility groups, each of which is separate from the other, by a street devoid of media layer. The layers that comprise the multi-part form are preferably solvent resistant so as to make the identification products more durable and longer lasting.
