Patent number: 5313869Abstract: A shell plate for being indexed in angular steps is on a carrier which is, in turn, mounted to the upper end of the reloader ram. Indexer rod engageable elements such as cylindrical equiangularly spaced apart pins project downwardly from the bottom of the shell plate. An indexer rod is carried in the shell plate carrier. When the ram is driven to nearly its lowermost position, the manual operating lever is near the end of its swing at which time it abuts the indexer rod for the latter to engage one of the pins to rotate the shell plate. The indexer rod is retracted and reset by having it slide down a guide track from the uppermost position of the ram and the guide track is angulated in part to be engaged by the rod and retracted. The reloader is distinguished by indexing the shell plate only when the ram is within a few millimeters of its lowermost limit.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1992Date of Patent: May 24, 1994Assignee: Lee Precision, Inc.Inventor: Richard J. Patent number: 5231539Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for setting the nodal point of a retroreflector such as a corner-cube prism. The apparatuses permit rotation of the retroreflector about a stationary first pivot axis and motion of the retroreflector along its optical axis relative to the first pivot axis, wherein the first pivot axis is perpendicular to the optical axis. Methods comprise using the retroreflector to produce a reflected image of a stationary reference object, and pivoting the retroreflector about the first pivot axis and moving the retroreflector along the optical axis to a position at which the reflected image remains stationary as the retroreflector is pivoted. Thus, the retroreflector is adjusted so as to produce a reflected beam that is exactly parallel to a corresponding incident beam even when the optical axis of the prism is not exactly parallel with the propagation vector of the incident beam.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 1992Date of Patent: July 27, 1993Assignee: Norita Precision, Inc.Inventor: David A. Patent number: 5136267Abstract: A tunable bandpass filter system and filtering method wherein the bandwidth of a tunable bandpass filter is adjusted as a function of the fundamental frequency of an input signal. Either a constant bandwidth or a constant quality factor tunable bandpass filter may be used. The center frequency of the tunable bandpass filter is adjusted in direct proportion to the product of the fundamental frequency and the number of a selected harmonic thereof. In the case of a constant bandwidth filter the bandwidth is adjusted in direct proportion to the quotient of the fundamental frequency divided by a selected filter quality factor. In the case of a constant quality factor filter, the bandwidth is indirectly controlled by adjusting the center frequency while adjusting the quality factor in inverse proportion to the harmonic number. The output amplitude of the filter is measured to determine the amount of distortion in the input signal. The fundamental frequency may be determined by measuring the input signal.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 1990Date of Patent: August 4, 1992Assignee: Audio Precision, Inc.Inventor: Richard C. Cabot
