Abstract: A nesting chair includes a base having a transverse member. A backrest and seat are interconnected with the base. A seat rotation mechanism is configured to allow the seat to rotate from an initial seating position to an upwardly rotated nesting position. The seat rotation includes a first bearing area defined by an underside of the seat, and a second bearing area defined by a separate bearing member. The first and second bearing areas are located on opposite sides of the transverse member. A retainer arrangement is used to secure the bearing member to the seat with the transverse member therebetween. The seat is rotatable about the transverse member from the initial seating position to the upwardly rotated nesting position to enable the nesting chair to be nested with a plurality of like chairs. The transverse member is provided with a stop engageable with the seat for maintaining the seat in the seating position.

The first and the second pair of legs are rotatable around respective vertical axes and are connected to the table-top by means of an actuating device which actuates the rotation of the first and of the second pair of legs as a result of the movement of the table-top from the lowered position to the raised position and vice versa.

Abstract: Nesting and folding table, comprising a supporting structure including two pairs of legs, a top articulated to the supporting structure about a horizontal axis and mobile between a position of use and a position of storage, and a pair of supporting devices each including an arched guide fixed with respect to the top, a rotatable arm, and a supporting member, carried by the rotatable arm and slidably engaging said arched guide. The first and the second pairs of legs are both fixed to one another and are staggered with respect to one another in a direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the surface. Said arm has a first end that rotatably engages an end of a respective leg and a second end that is connected to said supporting member by means of a joint, designed to enable a movement of rotation of the supporting member with respect to said second end of the arm about at least two mutually orthogonal axes.

Abstract: A chair comprising a supporting structure having a seat and a backrest, in which the backrest comprises a deformable resting portion made of plastic material which has a non-planar resting surface provided with at least one weakened area which enables an elastic deformation of the resting portion so that the resting portion assumes a configuration bent backwards under the action of a thrust applied backwards by the user, two uprights formed integrally on the lateral sides of the resting portion, and two side connection elements, which connect the backrest to the supporting structure, formed integrally at the bottom ends of the uprights. The backrest is provided with elastic stiffening elements made of a material different from the material constituting the resting portion and arranged only in an area corresponding to the uprights so as to bestow upon said uprights a rigidity to bending higher than that of the resting portion.

Abstract: A chair having a base adapted to support the chair on a support surface, and a seat and backrest mounted on the base that includes a flexible backrest and a relatively simple tilt mechanism for tilting the backrest relative to the seat. The tilt mechanism includes a pair of dual cantilevered U-shaped springs mounted on opposite sides of the base and in communication with the backrest. The backrest is mounted to the tilt mechanism such that a rearward thrust applied by the user deflects an outer end of each U-shaped spring downwardly to enable rearward tilting of the backrest relative to the seat. Upon removal of the rearward thrust, the backrest elastically returns to its initial position under the biasing force of the U-shaped springs.
