Abstract: A chair comprising a support structure bearing a seat and a backrest, in which the backrest comprises a bearing portion and a connecting portion for connection to the support structure, in which the backrest is tiltable rearwards relative to a resting position under a rearwards thrust applied by the user and elastically returns to the resting position when the rearwards thrust ceases. The rearwards tilting of the backrest is formed in part by an elastic detonation of the bearing portion and in part by a displacement of at least a part of the connecting portion relative to the support structure.
Abstract: The disclosure generally describes a sofa convertible into a bed. In one embodiment, the sofa includes a support and guide structure, a mattress that is movable relative to the support and guide structure. The sofa can be moved between a bed configuration and a sofa configuration. In the bed configuration, the mattress has a bearing surface which extends horizontally. In the sofa configuration an upper portion of the mattress is folded upwards relative to a lower portion of the mattress. In addition, the bearing surface of the upper portion of the mattress forms the bearing surface of a backrest against for supporting the back of a person in a seated position.
Abstract: The disclosure generally describes a chaise-longue having a base structure that supports a backrest section, a footrest section and an intermediate section. The intermediate section is connected between the backrest section and the footrest section. The base structure can include a first movable support that supports the backrest section and can articulate about a first stationary transverse axis. The base structure can also include a second movable support that supports the footrest section and can articulate about a second stationary transverse axis.
Abstract: Chair backrest, comprising a support structure (12), an upper backrest member (30) connected in oscillating fashion to said support structure (12), a lower backrest member (32), and a connecting element (80) which is fixed relative to one of said backrest members (32) and able to slide telescopically inside the other backrest member (30), the connecting element (80) having at least one elastically deformable zone (82) and being able to apply an elastic force to said backrest members (30, 32) as a result of a variation in the relative angular position of said backrest members (30, 32).
Abstract: A chair, in particular an office chair, comprising: a base structure, a seat support structure, articulated to the base structure around a transverse axis, an adjustable elastic device to apply an elastic force between the base structure and the seat support structure, a manually operated adjustment device for varying the distance between said adjustable elastic device and said transverse axis.
Abstract: A chair comprising a supporting structure (12) having a pair of front legs (20a) and a pair of rear legs (22) and carrying a seat (14) and a backrest (16). The supporting structure (12) comprises a transverse element (18), a first pair of bars (20) fixed to the ends of the transverse element (18) and forming the pair of front legs, and a second pair of bars (22) fixed to the ends of the transverse element (18) and forming the pair of rear legs.
Abstract: A chair comprising a base structure (22) bearing a seat (32), backrest (36), and a writing table (42) which can be moved between a lowered, inoperative, position, and a raised, operative, position. In the aforesaid lowered, inoperative, position, the table (42) is inclined with respect to a vertical plane (A) parallel to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the chair, in such a way that two or more chairs of the same type can be set longitudinally against one another, with the tables of two adjacent chairs partially overlapping one another.
Abstract: An armrest of a chair which can be adjusted and which can be moved in a transverse horizontal direction with respect to the longitudinal direction of the armrest. Regardless of the position thus obtained, the armrest is capable of turning on an essentially vertical axis between two extreme positions, so to adapt to the specific needs of the user and to the activities to be performed in an optimal way.
Abstract: Chair with synchronized rocking seat and backrest, comprising:
a base support (14),
a backrest supporting structure (18), connected to the base support (14) so to rock on a transversal axis (A), and
a seat supporting structure (16) rocking on the base support (14) in a synchronized way with respect to the rocking movement of the backrest supporting structure (18).
The backrest supporting structure presents, on each side of the chair, a bent metallic rod comprising: an anchoring portion (26) fastened to the base support (14), a riser section (28) which extends upwards, and an elastically deformable area (30) permitting the riser section (28) to rock on the transversal axis (A) with respect to the anchoring portion (26).
