  • Patent number: 9570425
Abstract: Provided are a display including a nano-scale LED and a method for manufacturing the same. In detail, nano-scale LED devices, each of which has a nano unit, are connected to nano-scale electrodes without electrical short-circuit to overcome a limitation in which it is difficult to allow nano-scale LED devices according to the related art to stand up and be coupled to electrodes and a limitation in which it is difficult to allow the nano-scale LED devices to be one-to-one coupled to the nano-scale electrodes different from each other, thereby realizing a display including the nano-scale LEDs. Also, the display may have superior light extraction efficiency and prevent defective pixels and the defect of the whole display due to the defects of the nano-scale LED devices, which may rarely occur, from occurring to minimize the defects of the display including the nano-scale LEDs and maintain its original function.

  • Patent number: 9262872
Abstract: A printable postage sheet includes a plurality of substantially equally sized preprinted postage labels arranged in a matrix of n rows by m columns, where n and m are integers. The plurality of preprinted postage labels are symmetrically arranged in the printable postage sheet with respect to a first axis and a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. Preprinted indicia on each of the preprinted postage labels are preprinted on generally the same location on all of the preprinted postage labels. The preprinted indicia are all oriented in a same orientation relative to the sheet. A printable area of each preprinted postage label is positioned on the label such that when indicia are printed on one or more of the preprinted postage labels, the indicia are positioned within the printable area irrespective of a right side up or upside down feeding orientation of the printable postage sheet into a printer.

  • Patent number: 9024335
Abstract: Disclosed is a white LED device using a multi-package. The white LED device maximizes the efficiency of a green LED in the yellow gap to minimize a deviation in performance between the other color chips, in comparison with conventional white LED devices using RGB multi-chips. In addition, deviations in temperature, current and droop characteristics between the chips can be minimized, contributing to the simplification of a driving circuit. Therefore, the white LED device is suitable for commercialization. Furthermore, the white LED device has a higher color rendering index (Ra) (>80) than conventional white LED devices having single-package structures. The correlated color temperatures of the white LED device are controllable in the range of 2,700 to 12,000 K. The white LED device can express abundant colors for emotion lighting and can emit white light with high efficiency.
