  • Patent number: 12033071
Abstract: Certain embodiments may generally relate to various techniques for machine learning. Feed-forward, fully-connected Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), or the so-called Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLPs) are well-known universal approximators. However, their learning performance may vary significantly depending on the function or the solution space that they attempt to approximate for learning. This is because they are based on a loose and crude model of the biological neurons promising only a linear transformation followed by a nonlinear activation function. Therefore, while they learn very well those problems with a monotonous, relatively simple and linearly separable solution space, they may entirely fail to do so when the solution space is highly nonlinear and complex. In order to address this drawback and also to accomplish a more generalized model of biological neurons and learning systems, Generalized Operational Perceptrons (GOPs) may be formed and they may encapsulate many linear and nonlinear operators.

  • Patent number: 11870381
Abstract: A Pole Phase Modulated (PPM) nine-phase induction motor drive may be used in gearless electric vehicle applications. A single stator winding multiphase induction motor may deliver variable speed-torques by varying the number of phases and poles with respect to a multiphase power converter. A multilevel inverter controlled with carrier phase shifted space vector pulse width modulator (PWM) may further improve the PPM based multiphase induction motor (MIM) drive with respect to efficiency, torque ripple, and direct current (DC) link utilization. To operate the PPM based MIM drive smoothly in different pole phase combinations, indirect field oriented vector control may used.

  • Patent number: 11799634
Abstract: IoT frameworks require flexible and scalable communication and security schemes that can be deployed on devices of low computational capabilities and memory (e.g., resource-constrained devices). A system is provided including a mesh network of resource-constrained devices creating a self-organizing and collaborative communication topology between the devices, and an attribute-based encryption security scheme integrated with the mesh network that enables the resource-constrained devices to communicate securely in unsecured channels by defining an access policy that can only be satisfied by the authorized resource-constrained devices. In order to integrate the attribute-based encryption scheme with the mesh network of resource-constrained devices, a serializer and deserializer are provided that prepare all communications to go through the attribute-based encryption scheme by converting all data and metadata into a suitable format for transmission over the network.
