Patent number: 12289629Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for the allocation of a cross-link interference measurement resource (CL-IMR). A base station in communication with an “aggressor” user equipment (UE) and a “victim” UE may indicate a configuration for the CL-IMR to the victim UE, for example in one or both of the channel state information (CSI) report settings or CSI resource settings indicated in control signaling. The base station may also indicate in downlink control information, to the aggressor UE, to transmit one or more reference signals in the same time-frequency resources as the CL-IMR. The CL-IMR may include one or more CSI reference signal resources which may be one-to-one mapped with channel measurement resources. A victim UE may consider the CLI measurement through the CL-IMR when the victim UE calculates and reports CSI to the base station.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2021Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Wooseok Nam, Tao Luo

Patent number: 12287643Abstract: Techniques described herein provide for leader selection of a group of vehicles, based on inter-vehicle communications. According to embodiments, a host vehicle can determine it qualifies to be the leader of a potential group by comparing vehicle information of other cars in the potential group with its own vehicle information. Once the determination has been made, the host vehicle can then send a request to be the group leader to the other vehicles. If the other vehicles accept, the host vehicle can initiate group formation. Otherwise, another vehicle can reject the request and send its own request to become the group leader, reinitiating group leader negotiation until a group leader is determined.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2020Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Lan Yu, Dan Vassilovski, Gene Wesley Marsh, Hong Cheng
