A method for data communication performed at a master device includes configuring a serial interface for a point-to-point mode of operation, transmitting a first two-bit command through the serial interface, the two-bit command including a one-bit address and a read/write bit, and initiating a transaction through the serial interface. The transaction may be identified by the two-bit command and is conducted in accordance with an I3C protocol. The transaction may include the transfer of one or more data frames formatted in accordance with the I3C protocol. The method may include receiving an acknowledgement from a slave device in response to the first two-bit command.

  • Patent number: 11011602
Abstract: Circuits employing an adjacent low-k dummy gate to a field-effect transistor (FET) to reduce FET source/drain parasitic capacitance, and related fabrication methods. To reduce or mitigate an increase in the source/drain parasitic capacitance(s) of a FET, a dummy gate adjacent to an active gate of the FET is provided to have a low-k (i.e., low relative permittivity). In this manner, the relative permittivity (k) between the source/drain of the FET and an adjacent dummy gate and/or source/drain of another FET is reduced, thereby reducing the parallel plate capacitance of the FET(s). Reducing parasitic capacitance of the FET(s) may allow further reduced scaling of the circuit to offset or mitigate a lack of reduction or increase in parasitic capacitance as a result of reducing gate pitch in the circuit. As gate pitch is reduced in the circuit, it may not be possible to proportionally reduce gate size without sacrificing gate control.

  • Patent number: 11012976
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device may receive repeated portions (e.g., modulation symbols) of a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) within a subframe. Portions of a PBCH may be repeated during various symbol periods of a subframe, and symbol periods for repetition may be selected based at least in part on locations of reference signals, synchronization signals, or downlink transmissions. Symbol periods that include cell-specific reference signals (CRS) may be used to repeat portions of a PBCH. Modulation symbols of a PBCH that include both broadcast information and CRS may be repeated within a subframe during symbol periods of the subframe than include CRS. Repetitions of portions of the PBCH in the subsequent subframe may be similarly or differently mapped to available resources in the subsequent subframe. Devices may identify characteristics of the PBCH by using differences in phase between repeated portions of the PBCH.
