The individual performing the self-learning procedure sets the assembly by a simple rotation motion. The individual performing the self-learning procedure can verify that the original key and copies of the original key function properly within the lock cylinder prior to final assembly.

Abstract: A fluid wand closure assembly includes a receiving tube with a wand receiving aperture and a predetermined external surface configuration. A wand holder fits within and abuts the receiving tube. A ring is configured to complement the external surface configuration and to abut the wand holder. Tightening the ring against the wand holder causes the ring to abut the wand holder and causes the wand holder to abut the receiving tube and seal the closure.

Abstract: An integrated wheel end coupler for replacing an OEM coupler is disclosed. Since the current device is a replacement part for the OEM actuator, it has the same overall external dimensions and mounts in the vehicle in the same manner as a replacement OEM actuator. The coupler has a ring gear with splines dimensioned to mesh with splines on the half-shaft and hub. Preferably, the ring gear includes an internal insert positioned between the half-shaft and hub that prevents slippage off of the splines. The ring gear is located so that the splines on both the hub and the half shaft are locked together mechanically and they spin at the same rate of speed. The coupler also includes pins to receive and close off the airlines associated with the OEM actuator being replaced, and a grease fitting that allows the application of grease to the coupled parts.

Abstract: The disclosed transmission shift fork has improved contact areas that engage a gear that is shifted into and out of engagement with the drive train. As a result of the improved contact areas the gear and the shift fork have a more stable alignment that reduces wear during shifting and avoids uneven wear of the parts. The shift fork has an elongated pin that is positioned inside of a biasing spring. The pin has a length that is greater than the length of a compressed biasing spring, which contributes to increased stability and reduced wear from linear movement.

The system and method include submitting a vehicle identification number (VIN) to determine demand for parts associated with the vehicle identified by the VIN, generating a product delivery record (PDR) for at least one of the parts, entering the PDR of the at least one of the parts into a tracking system, determining the ultimate destination for the vehicle identified by the VIN, on a condition that the vehicle is destined to be dismantled, creating at least one dismantle report associated with either the vehicle or the parts, printing tags associated with the parts being dismantled from the vehicle, the tags providing at least one of routing or destination information for the part, and locating the parts based on the tag based on the routing or destination information.

Abstract: The disclosed method uses a dongle to program a replacement key fob transmitter to a vehicle. The dongle mates to the vehicle's on-board electronics through the vehicle's existing data link. A diagnostic circuit in the dongle determines a communications protocol for programming the key fob transmitter to the vehicle. Audio and visual indicators indicate that communications are established and the successful programming of the key fob transmitter to the vehicle.
