Abstract: A containment bag 1 which may be used in home dry cleaning is made of textile with an impermeable finish and an interior capable of absorbing loose particles and soil. The containment bag 1 is used in a home dryer dry cleaning and freshening system. The textile of the containment bag 1 has a layer of woven or knit fabric with an impermeable coating and a soft, hairy layer on its interior. The inside of the containment bag 1 is prewetted with cleaning composition. Preferably a liquid cleaning composition is employed and the cleaning composition may include a fragrance composition. A process for cleaning a garment is also provided.

Abstract: A blooming type, hard surface cleaning concentrate composition includes as a blooming system the following essential constituents: a cationic quaternary ammonium surfactant; an anionic carboxylated alcohol alkoxylate surfactant; a surfactant compatibilizing agent; and, water. Further optional constituents may also be included including additional anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric and zwitterionic surfactants especially to provide a further detersive effect; organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers, glycol ethers to aid in stain solubilization, as well as conventional additves such as coloring agents including dyes, fragrances, and others. In preferred embodiment, the concentrate compositions and cleaning compositions also provide a germicidal effect to hard surfaces. The cleaning concentrates exhibit a charateristic bloom when admixed to a larger volume of water, yet are substantially clear and shelf stable as concentrate compositions.

Abstract: Alkaline aqueous hard surface cleaning compositions which exhibit good cleaning efficacy against hardened dried or baked on greasy soil deposits. They are storage stable, and are not undesirably irritating to the skin or mucous tissues of the user. These compositions comprise in percent by weight (based on 100% total weight of a composition):0.01-0.85% wt. nonionic surfactant compound based on an amine oxide;0-1.5% wt. chelating agent;0.01-2.5% wt. caustic;3.0-9.0% wt. glycol ether solvent system comprising one glycol ether or glycol ether acetate solvent having a solubility in water of not more than 20% wt., and a second glycol ether or glycol ether acetate having a solubility of approximately 100% wt., wherein the ratio of the former to the latter is from 0.5:1 to 1.5:1;0-5.0% wt. of a water soluble amine containing organic compound;0-2.5% wt. soil anti-redeposition agent;0-2.5% wt. optional constituents.

Abstract: Aqueous based cleaning compositions simultaneously featuring disinfecting, low residue deposit and good cleaning characteristics are provided. The compositions include one or more quaternary amine compounds as disinfecting active agents, an organic solvent system which includes glycol mono-n-butyl ether or a binary system including a glycol ether with a linear primary alcohol, and either one or more betaines, or one or more amine oxides as a surfactant constituent.

Abstract: Concentrated aqueous liquid disinfectant compositions which exhibit a blooming effect when diluted in a larger volume of water are provided. The concentrate compositions include non-phenolic constituents to provide a disinfecting effect, and are non pine-oil containing. Working strength dilutions of the concentrated aqueous liquid disinfectant compositions are effective against gram positive type pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, as well as gram negative type pathogenic bacteria such as Salmonella choleraesuis.

Abstract: An alcohol based disinfecting composition which contains from 0.1% to 10% of benzyl benzoate is effective in killing dust mites. The compositions can comprise additional disinfectants and are most conveniently applied in aerosol form with a suitable propellant. Allergens contained in the faecal matter excreted by dust mites can be controlled by removing dead mites and associated faecal matter using a vacuuming apparatus under conditions which do not cause the removed material to vent into the ambient atmosphere.

Abstract: Disclosed are aqueous mycobacterial concentrate compositions at a pH in the range of 6 to 12 which comprises per 100% weight of a concentrate composition:a) from about 0.1% wt. to about 25% wt. of a germicidal cationic quaternary ammonium compound;b) from about 0.25% wt. to about 25% wt. of a solvent selected from: phenoxyalcohol, glycol ethers, or mixtures thereof; and,c) water.The concentrate compositions may be used in a ready to use form, or may be further diluted with water to form a disinfecting composition therefrom. The compositions may also include an effective amount of a pH adjusting agent, such as sodium hydroxide or triethanolamine. The compositions featuring reduced amounts of active constituents than those known to the art, and are particularly effective against Mycobacteriuin terrae.

Abstract: Aqueous septic tank maintenance compositions, process for their production, methods for their use as well as methods for the maintenance of sewage systems, particularly septic tanks and cesspools are provided. The aqueous septic tank maintenance compositions feature a high proportion of biologically active agents per unit volume or unit weight of the compositions, and reduced numbers of stabilizing compositions generally required to ensure storage and shelf stability of the biologically active agents contained therein. Processes for the production of these aqueous septic tank maintenance compositions, and methods for their use are also disclosed.

Abstract: Aqueous acidic ready-to-use aqueous cleaning and disinfectant compositions include hydrogen peroxide as an active disinfecting constituent further include a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 monohydric alcohol, a glycol ether or butoxypropanol or, propoxypropanol, a nonionic surfactant, and citric acid. Methods of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces are also disclosed.

Abstract: A dryer dry cleaning and freshening system is provided with a containment bag, a dispenser means formed of an absorbent polymeric material usually impregnated with liquid cleaning composition, and optionally means for absorbing loose particles and excess cleaning composition. A process for cleaning a garment is also provided. The system and process may be used in a home clothes dryer for dry cleaning.

Abstract: A dispensing orifice for free-flowing, liquid condiments is provided. The dispensing orifice is adapted to be provided as a fitment for a container, especially for a bottle containing liquid condiments. The dispensing orifice provides for two modes of dispensing, a dropwise dispensing pattern, and a streamwise dispensing pattern.

Abstract: Home dry cleaning compositions useful in dry-cleaning of textiles and garments in a non-commercial environment are disclosed. The cleaning compositions useful in conjunction with a a domestic dry cleaning operation the cleaning compositions are contacted with a soiled garment or textile during a tumbling such as is possible with a domestic clothes dryer. The cleaning compositions contain a major proportion of water, and further include minor amounts of a nonionic alkoxylated alcohol, anionic surfactant selected from alkyl sulfosuccinates, alkyl ether sulfosuccinates, alkylamide sulfosuccinates, alkyl sulfosuccinamates, as well as salt forms thereof, organic solvent selected from alcohols and glycol ethers, as well as optional constituents including fluorosurfactants, pH adjusting agents, fragrances, fragrance solubilizers, and preservatives.

Abstract: Aqueous cleaning and surface treatment compositions for imparting oil and water repellency to treated surfaces which comprise:(a) fluoroaliphatic radical-containing poly(oxyalkylene) compound;(b) anti-resoiling composition;(c) anionic surfactant compound, preferably one or more selected from alkyl sulfates, alkyl benzene sulfates, and alkane sulfonates as well as salts thereof;(d) organic solvent;(e) citric acid salts, preferably one or more anhydrous and dihydrous sodium citrates(f) waterwherein the are at a neutral or alkaline pH, especially from about 8 to about 10. The compositions are particularly shelf stable, and exhibit excellent shelf stability in pressurized aerosol containers.

Abstract: The use of a hydrophobic oleogel of essentially temperature-independent viscosity and consistency as a carrier base substance in an adhesive for dental prostheses is disclosed. The hydrophobic oleogel here is preferably a viscous paraffin in combination with amorphous polyethylene, with physical properties resulting from its preparation.

Abstract: A fragrance device for delivering a fragrance or other volatile material includes a fluid vessel containing a quantity of a fuel, a wick, and a porous emanator element which releases the fragrance or volatile material particularly when the wick is burning. Methods for the manufacture of the device, as well as methods for its use of are also disclosed.
