Abstract: A line interface for a two wire bus for detecting defects of the bus. The interface includes a shaping circuit having three comparators. The first comparator having two inputs connected to the two wires of the bus, the second comparator having a first input connected to one of the bus wires and another input connected to a reference signal, and the third comparator having a first input connected to the other wire of the bus and the second input connected to a reference signal. A first counter is connected to the output of the first comparator and counts a number of transitions which occur on the bus during a predetermined period of time. If the number of transitions detected by the first comparator is counted to be less than a predetermined number of transitions, the bus is defective. The second and third counters are respectively connected to the second and third comparators.
Abstract: Device for the electrical power supply of a plurality of local electrical apparatuses (12) from a single source (1), including a central bistable switch (3) connected between a terminal of the source and the power supply lines (4) of the apparatuses (12) and a central resistor (7) connected in parallel with said central switch (3), each apparatus (12) including a local resistor (8) and at least one control switch (9) in series between its power supply line (4) and the second terminal of the source, each local resistor (8) forming, together with the central resistor (7), a divider bridge connected to a central detector (10) which controls said central switch (3). Each apparatus (12) comprises means for isolating it from its power supply line (4), means for cancelling the current in the local resistor (8) and means for detecting the closure of the central switch (3) which controls the closure of the isolating means and the opening of the current cancelling means when the central switch closes.

Abstract: The invention concerns a crankcase or cylinder block for an internal combustion engine of any type, for example, of the V or in-line cylinder type. The upper half of the crankcase comprises internal conduits which connect the upper part of the crankcase with the lower compartments separating the crankshaft bearings, these conduits making possible the exhaust of crankcase gases and the recycling of the engine oil and opening into a chamber of a flat shape, with said chamber and said internal conduits forming an integral as-cast system. The invention applies in particular to the automotive industry.

Abstract: A device for the management of a variable, particularly of a pressure relative to an electrohydraulic control of an automatic transmission. The device includes a control element associated with a second control element which generates the variable. The variable is processed by a sensor to give a measurement which is compared with a set point. The possible error .epsilon. is processed by a controller of the proportional-plus-integral-plus-derivative type which acts on the control element. The management device is provided with a table which generates a value based on the set point. This value is added to the value given by the controller and by the set point to act on the control element by way of a converter. The table is updated continuously during the stabilized phases of the variable with a correction that must be made so that the variable corresponds to the set point. The management device has a comparable operation in both the closed loop and open loop after a certain self-learning time.
Abstract: For precisely positioning a vehicle body relative to robots which spot weld the vehicle body, the vehicle body is mounted on a lower tool which is rigidly connected to front and rear upper tools which are selected from a tool magazine as a function of the geometry of the vehicle body. All of the tools are rigidly connected to one another to form a rigid annular structure surrouding the body and alone capable of positioning the body.
