  • Patent number: 10989531
Abstract: Described herein is a method of setting-up a range-based tracking system utilising a tracking coordinate system that uses a plurality of spaced apart stationary nodes for tracking objects within a tracking environment. The method includes the step of transmitting signals between the stationary nodes to obtain range information between at least a subset of pairs of the nodes and determining coordinates for all of the stationary nodes in a node coordinate system using these range information. The method also includes the step of obtaining spatial information related to at least one of the nodes, the spatial information being indicative of one or more features or locations within the tracking environment and determining the location of all stationary nodes in the tracking coordinate system, wherein some or all of the coordinates of the stationary nodes are used for tracking objects in the tracking system.

  • Patent number: 10959377
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for scanning crops. A line scan distance sensor measures a distance of the crops from the sensor and generates distance data indicative of the distance of the crops from the sensor at a measurement angle. A mover system moves the line scan distance sensor or the crops perpendicular to the distance of the crops from the sensor. A rotary encoder associated with the mover system generates movement data indicative of a movement of the distance sensor or the crops perpendicular to the distance of the crops from the sensor. A data collector associates the distance data from the distance sensor with relative positioning data based on the movement data from the rotary encoder and stores the distance data associated with the relative positioning data on a data store. The system allows accurate relative spatial alignment of sequential line scans. As a result, an extremely high resolution in the direction of movement can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 10947321
Abstract: A method for producing Metal Organic Framework (MOF) having a framework that encapsulates a bio-molecule, the method comprising combining in a solution the bio-molecule and MOF precursors, wherein the bio-molecule promotes formation of the encapsulating framework. The method stems from a surprising effect that a bio-molecule can promote or trigger the formation of MOF when combined together in a solution with MOF precursors. That is, it has now been found that a bio-molecule can effectively act as a seed around which the framework forms, with the resulting framework encapsulating the bio-molecule.

  • Patent number: 10918125
Abstract: Generating an optimised formulation for a foodstuff, comprises receiving at a processor physicochemical data pertaining to one or more plant extracts and operating the processor to calculate a time, Tmax, representing a time to reach a maximum concentration in plasma of at least one metabolite of the one or more plant extracts by applying the received physicochemical data to a mathematical model stored in memory. The processor is then operated to identify ones of the metabolites for which the calculated Tmax substantially corresponds with a target absorption time for the foodstuff; and to generate an optimised formulation for the foodstuff comprising the one or more plant extracts containing the identified metabolites. The physicochemical data include one or more of molecular mass (M), liphophilicity (log P) and Polar Surface Area (PSA).

  • Publication number: 20210040497
Abstract: The present invention provides a wheat plant comprising an Rht-B1 allele which encodes an Rht-B1 (DELLA) polypeptide. Grain from a near-isogenic wheat line comprising the dwarfing Rht-B1c allele was subjected to sodium azide mutagenesis. Plants exhibiting early leaf elongation rates or mature plant height greater than the dwarf parent were selected and the Rht-B1 gene sequenced. This identified 35 mutated alleles of Rht-B1c. Similar methods were also used to identify mutant alleles of the dwarfing sln1d allele in barley, where DELLA is encoded by the sln1 gene.
