  • Patent number: 10694968
Abstract: Systems and method for classifying EEG signals of a human subject generated responsive to a series of images containing target images and non-target images. The EEG signals are in a spatio-temporal representation. The time points are classified independently, using a linear discriminant classifier, to compute spatio-temporal discriminating weights that are used to amplify the spatio-temporal representation, to create a spatially-weighted representation. Principal Component Analysis is used on a temporal domain for dimensionality reduction, separately for each spatial channel of the signals, to create a projection, which is applied to the spatially-weighted representation onto a first plurality of principal components, to create a temporally approximated spatially weighted representation.

  • Patent number: 10695733
Abstract: A multi-disk spinning disk assembly for atomization and encapsulation applications. A number of patterned disks are stacked to form a disk stack having a feed well in the center core of the stack. Each patterned disk has channels defined by spacers, with the channels and spacers being of varying depths, heights, and/or widths. The fluid to be atomized or encapsulated is delivered to the feed well. The fluid then flows into the channels, which communicate the fluid toward the outer edges of the disks. The fluid exits the disk stack from a circumferential gap, which is created by interposing spacing disks between the patterned disks.

  • Patent number: 10697023
Abstract: An example method of treating a subject having a tumor is described herein. The method can include determining a radiosensitivity index of the tumor, deriving a subject-specific variable based on the radiosensitivity index, and obtaining a genomic adjusted radiation dose effect value for the tumor. The radiosensitivity index can be assigned from expression levels of signature genes of a cell of the tumor. Additionally, the genomic adjusted radiation dose effect value can be predictive of tumor recurrence in the subject after treatment. The method can also include determining a radiation dose based on the subject-specific variable and the genomic adjusted radiation dose effect value.

  • Patent number: 10696635
Abstract: A class of mono-protected 3-amino-2-hydroxypyridine (MPAHP) ligands that enable the meta-C—H arylation of anilines, phenols, phenylacetic acids, and biologically relevant heterocyclic compounds using norbornene as a transient mediator is disclosed, such as in the formation of a reaction product of Formula IA: The applicability of this meta-arylation methodology in the pharmaceutical industry is illustrated for heteroaryl substrates and heteroaryl iodide coupling partners, a feat made possible by using the MPAHP ligand. The enabling nature of MPAHP ligands to achieve other meta-C—H functionalization processes is also illustrated by the development of a meta-C—H amination reaction and a meta-C—H alkynylation reaction.
