    Abstract: Universal device for the winding and time-setting of a watch with oscillating resonator, including a rewinding and state corrector, including an automatic winding mechanism, state measurer relative to a reference, stoppage monitor to observe the stoppage of the resonator, running monitor of the resonator, controller to identify the stoppage time displayed, compute the time remaining until a synchronisation between the actual time indicated by the reference and the stoppage time, and, when this remaining time has elapsed, activate the winding mechanism to rewind the storage means of the watch, and, following activation of the winding mechanism, await the determination of the stabilisation of the nominal running of the resonato by these monitors before allowing a fine adjustment of the state of the watch.

    Abstract: Devices and methods for detecting credit card skimmers are provided herein. A device can include a printed circuit board having a pattern of electrical traces on its surface, and a computer readable medium comprising instructions that cause a processor to direct an electrical voltage to a trace and detect an electrical current between two points of the trace. A gap can be disposed between the two points across which a voltage is applied in order to detect a magnetic reader. A count of the detected magnetic readers within a credit card reading device may be indicative of the presence of a credit card skimmer.

    Abstract: A method of operating a first-in-first-out memory, called a FIFO, includes performing write and read operations of data with a FIFO. The FIFO has a size fifo_size and a maximum retention time. Once a datum is written to the FIFO, there is a limit of fifo_size-1 write operations before the datum becomes invalid and there is a limit of fifo_size-1 read operations before the datum is read, and the data is refreshed before reaching the maximum retention time. During the refreshing, the FIFO is available for further write and read operations.

An opto-electrical transfer function may be derived based on a contrast sensitivity function that takes into consideration the surround luminance of an image.
