  • Patent number: 10438130
Abstract: System and methods for relational time-series learning are provided. Unlike traditional time series forecasting techniques, which assume either complete time series independence or complete dependence, the disclosed system and method allow time series forecasting that can be performed on multivariate time series represented as vertices in graphs with arbitrary structures and predicting a future classification for data items represented by one of nodes in the graph. The system and methods also utilize non-relational, relational, temporal data for classification, and allow using fast and parallel classification techniques with linear speedups. The system and methods are well-suited for processing data in a streaming or online setting and naturally handle training data with skewed or unbalanced class labels.

  • Patent number: 10438393
Abstract: A computing system and method to implement a three-dimensional virtual reality world with avatar posture animation without user posture tracking devices. A position and orientation of a respective avatar in the virtual reality world is tracked to generate a view of the virtual world for the avatar and to present the avatar to others. In response to input data tracking a position, orientation, and motions of a head of a user of the virtual reality world, the server system uses a posture model to predict, from the input data, a posture of an avatar of the user in the virtual reality world, and computes an animation of the avatar showing the posture of the avatar in the virtual reality world.

  • Patent number: 10436942
Abstract: Statistically representing point-to-point photovoltaic power estimation and area-to-point conversion of satellite pixel irradiance data are described. Accuracy on correlated overhead sky clearness is bounded by evaluating a mean and standard deviation between recorded irradiance measures and the forecast irradiance measures. Sky clearness over the two locations is related with a correlation coefficient by solving an empirically-derived exponential function of the temporal distance. Each forecast clearness index is weighted by the correlation coefficient to form an output set of forecast clearness indexes and the mean and standard deviation are proportioned. Additionally, accuracy on correlated satellite imagery is bounded by converting collective irradiance into point clearness indexes. A mean and standard deviation for the point clearness indexes is evaluated. The mean is set as an area clearness index for the bounded area.

  • Patent number: 10440678
Abstract: A wireless tracking system comprises mobile devices and stationary devices at known locations. The system receives a first radio measurement indicative of a first propagation path length and receives sensor data indicative of the movement of the first mobile device. The sensor data is of a type different to the radio measurement. The system then determines a historical location of the first mobile device based on the first radio measurement and the sensor data and determines error data indicative of a difference between a historical radio measurement and the historical location and stores the error data associated with the historical location. The system can then receive a second radio measurement indicative of a second propagation path length of radio frequency radiation and determine an estimated location of the second mobile device based on the second radio measurement and the stored error data.
