  • Publication number: 20130199387
Abstract: In a variable data lithography system that employs a patterned dampening fluid layer for image formation, dampening fluid may be removed prior to image transfer to a substrate. Removed dampening fluid may be recovered and recycled to reduce operating expenses and environmental waste. A replacement fluid may be applied after inking and after removal of the dampening fluid. The replacement fluid preferentially occupies the regions previously occupied by dampening fluid, and may lubricate the transfer nip. Any replacement fluid and ink not transferred to the substrate upon printing may then be cleaned from the print image carrier prior to forming a new dampening fluid layer and subsequent pattern formation.

Abstract: A control channel may be used to transmit control information, such as Downlink Control Information (DCI), to a mobile device from a network component, such as a base station or a base node. The mobile device may use a blind decoding scheme to detect DCIs. A DCI may be falsely detected by the mobile device. According to some embodiments, data that has been decoded by a blind decoder, from buffer data for a candidate control channel, is re-encoded. The re-encoded data is compared to buffer data for the control channel. The decoded data is treated as control information dependent on the comparison of the re-encoded data with the buffer data. In some embodiments, comparing the re-encoded data to the buffer data includes generating a metric as a function of a degree of similarity between the re-encoded data and the buffer data. The metric may be compared to a threshold.

Abstract: A method for reducing contamination in an etch chamber is provided. A substrate with a metal containing layer is placed in the etch chamber. The metal containing layer is etched, producing nonvolatile metal residue deposits on surfaces of the etch chamber, wherein some of the metal residue of the metal residue deposits is in a first state. The substrate is removed from the etch chamber. The chamber is conditioned by converting metal residue in the first state to metal residue in a second state, where metal residue in the second state has stronger adhesion to surfaces of the etch chamber than metal residue in the first state.

  • Patent number: 8504999
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that selectively transfers code to a data producer in a networked system. In this system, the data producer generates data and then sends the data to a device. The device receives the data from the data producer, and then uses code on the device to perform a processing operation on the data. Next, the system analyzes characteristics of the data to determine whether performing the processing operation on the data producer can reduce resource usage. If so, the system transfers the code from the device to the data producer, and subsequently executes the code on the data producer. By executing the code on the data producer, the system can optimize resource usage in the networked system.

  • Patent number: 8501883
Abstract: Methods for supplying a catalyst to an ethylene slurry loop polymerization reactor and polymers formed therefrom are described herein. The method includes preparing a catalyst slurry in a preparation vessel. The slurry includes a hydrocarbon diluent liquid that contains a Ziegler-Natta catalyst. The catalyst slurry is supplied to a buffer vessel, withdrawn therefrom and supplied to a slurry loop polymerization reactor in which ethylene is polymerized. A co-catalyst is mixed with the Ziegler Natta catalyst in the slurry prior to supplying the catalyst slurry to the slurry loop polymerization reactor. The transfer of the catalyst slurry from the preparation vessel to the buffer vessel and the withdrawal of catalyst slurry from the buffer vessel are controlled to maintain the level of catalyst slurry in the buffer vessel substantially constant relative to the level of catalyst slurry in the preparation vessel.
