Abstract: Provided are a semiconductor device including a dual gate transistor and a method of fabricating the same. The semiconductor device includes a lower gate electrode, an upper gate electrode on the lower gate electrode, a contact plug interposed between the lower gate electrode and the upper gate electrode, and connecting the lower gate electrode to the upper gate electrode, and a functional electrode spaced apart from the upper gate electrode and formed at the same height as the upper gate electrode. The dual gate transistor exhibiting high field effect mobility is applied to the semiconductor device, so that characteristics of the semiconductor device can be improved. In particular, since no additional mask or deposition process is necessary, a large-area high-definition semiconductor device can be mass-produced with neither an increase in process cost nor a decrease in yield.

The computerized engine management module (70) monitors the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine (10) and at certain operating conditions dithers the ignition timing of at least one cylinder (20) of the engine (10) to induce light to medium SI engine knock temporarily. Due to the high temperature, high frequency pressure waves caused by SI engine knock, fuel and/or lubricant related deposits accumulated on combustion chamber components, i.e.
Abstract: Apparatus, and an associated method, for a receiving station, such as the receive part of a mobile station, that has diversity antennas. The receiving station includes both legacy demodulators and a diversity demodulator. Calculations are made to determine signal indicia associated with the signal energy detected at the diversity antennas. Responsive to the signal indicia, selection is made as to whether to utilize demodulation data, demodulated pursuant to a diversity demodulation technique or pursuant to a legacy demodulation technique. As the characteristics of received signals change, reselection of the demodulation is correspondingly made, such as on a frame-by-frame basis of frame-formatted data.

Abstract: A server storing a pool of unassigned access credentials selects an access credential from the pool, assigns it to an individual, identifies a mobile communication device associated with the individual, and pushes the access credential to the mobile communication device over a secure and authenticated channel such that the access credential is receivable by the mobile communication device. If the mobile communication device supports a proximity technology and is proximate to an access node that supports the proximity technology, the mobile communication device employs the proximity technology to present the access credential to the access node.
Abstract: A method and device exchanging contact information on an electronic device. Contact information is obtained from a contact by scanning a barcode using an electronic device and decoding the barcode to recover the contact information encoded therein. The contact information may be used to reciprocate by sending user contact data in a message addressed to an electronic address obtained from the contact information. The user contact data may be encoded in a second barcode displayed on the electronic device.

Abstract: Differently-sized features of an integrated circuit are formed by etching a substrate using a mask which is formed by combining two separately formed patterns. Pitch multiplication is used to form the relatively small features of the first pattern. Pitch multiplication is accomplished by patterning an amorphous carbon layer. Sidewall spacers are then formed on the amorphous carbon sidewalls which are then removed; the sidewall spacers defining the first mask pattern. A bottom anti-reflective coating (BARC) is then deposited to form a planar surface and a photoresist layer is formed over the BARC. The photoresist is next patterned by conventional photolithography to form the second pattern, which is transferred to the BARC. The combined pattern is transferred to an underlying amorphous silicon layer. The combined pattern is then transferred to the silicon oxide layer and then to an amorphous carbon mask layer. The combined mask pattern, is then etched into the underlying substrate.
